Let's list the things that did not make it into the demo, which you would have liked to see in it, as a sign of improvement over Prologue. We know it's a small file but I wouldn't have mind if they threw a bigger demo at us.

1. The lighting, the dashboard seemed awfully dark in the cockpit 👎 and I like to see the interior.
2. Better replay angles, because they are pretty bad in my opinion.

The fate of this kind of topic is inevitably going to go the pointless route, with offensive silly comments thrown around.

To answer the question - The only problem for me is the six-axis throttle distribution. Apart from that, everything else is just stylistic and opinions of things.

Some could say "there should be damage". But it's just a free demo. So where do you draw the line?

You kidding me right? Its a 200mb demo. Were you expecting a preview of the full game. As many many others have said this demo is to show the new physics and more then that, its the GT Academy, not the best 2009 demo :dunce:

I really agree with number one. I wonder why the hell the shadows in the cockpit are so dark. This one should definitely be worked on.

The one thing they should have done is made the dash clock work. Couldn't have been that hard, shirley?

The sky is overly bright and burned out in the TT, in cockpit view

If they're trying to emulate a photo, good job, but our eyes don't do that in real life :(

I know what you are saying but in the past all things gt related have portrayed Pure class from images released to ground breaking graphics and ideas. I just think a few people were expecting a bit more. In some regards I feel sorry for pd as they are a victim of there own success.

Well condiering the time of day on the track never changes, so then neither does the clock. ;)

But yeah it would be nice for it to function in GT5.

Yes, good thinking. I wish they had that missing hood view or whatever you call it.

Lets think, 950 cars, 70 different tracks, full damage modelling, dynamic weather, online play with private rooms. All of these I would like to have seen and would definately be a step up from prologue

I think your talking about a full game not a demo. No publisher I'd going to give you that amount of content for a demo.

I dont know, i find the lack of a 3D Little Tree/Magic Tree a lot more disturbing.
After hours and hours driving at 5:32 it starts to smell in the Nissan.

Thats the dial for the time travel module in the premium models of 370z. Sadly GT5 doesn't support ripping of the time/space continuum.

Anyway back on topic, the biggest single flaw in this demo is forced Traction control for pad users in the normal car. It is so annoying, and its responsible for at least a second a lap of my time.

Don't get your panties in a twist. This demo is boring, they could have put more effort into it.

The demos they have shown thus far:

-Look better than the GTacademy demo (Both car model and circuit)
-Have AI cars to race against
-Have damage
-Have not been available on the Playstation network, so understandably you think that the GTacademy demo is a reflection of the final game for the general consumer, but this is not the case.

I know the final game will look better, that's common knowledge. Kinda bummed it didn't meet some of my expectations, as a demo.

You mean its not 5:32?

Honestly, first time I noticed the clock it was 5:30 real life time and I thought the things worked. It wasn't until I saw the complaints here and went back and specifically looked that I realized this silly flaw. Lol this better be (and I expect will be) fixed for release.
