It's not always the cars performance that brings you a smile, it's knowing you own a car thats one of only 25 in the world, and that should you want to show off in front of a Ferrari owner, you can. I look at cars similar to art, only cars have more function obviousely, you don't always make the most sensible cost effective choice. This can be down to looks a lot of the time, rareiy, and overall image. People will often buy a car based on these things. Thats why theres so many People in Ferrari's, yeah they're great cars but if it was just the performance, you can get more for less.
It's similar with art, you can get a picture that in many ways looks better than a Lowry, but the Lowry pic has thecredibility, the image ect. If you have a nice pic by a nobody in you fvront room, people go, oh thats nice. If you have a Lowry pic, people go, wow is that a Lowry. It's the same with cars, if you have a lesser known car on your drive, regardless of how fast it is, most people will just say, thats nice, or thats cool. If you have a Ferrari on your drive, people go wow, look at what you've got. I tihnk in the US Lingenfalter has a good rep, theres none over here, but also in the US the Corvette has a good rep. So if you get hold of a Vette thats a special spec and rare, like say one of only 25 and done by a company like Lingenfelter, people will respect that.
