After a bit of searching (and this thread popped up first), it doesn't seem like anybody has made a list yet. I'll ask around and if nobody has seen a list like that then maybe you could do the list yourself, (I'd give you a hand with that).

Okay. I'm surprised somebody hasn't compiled a list at this point. And I probably won't be able to help much with the list, I've been more into GT3 lately. But thanks. Amazing that there doesn't seem to be a list. The game has been out for over 6 years, WHY U NO MAKE LIST?

I already know some cars that accept dirt tires (specific models may not):

Honda/Acura NSX (Not sure which ones do or don't)
Many 4WD Skylines, maybe some of the more obscure FR Skylines, I know the KPGC110 gets them
Mitsubishi 3000GT
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
Probably any 4WD Subaru gets dirt tires
Any WRC and Group B car
TVR Griffith (seriously)
Lotus Elise

But what I need is a decently detailed list of every individual model in the game that accepts dirt and/or snow tires. Totally forgot about snows.

if the car accept dirt tires, it accepts snow tires. and because of your request on the NSX at the grand canyon, I now know that any NSX (except the LM Road Car and the LM Race Car) can get those tires. the same goes for every Subaru except the JGTC one. strangely, the Impreza Touring Car gets them, even though it's an obvious race car

Dirt=Snow. That equals 20% less time. It's kind of annoying knowing some random and general autos that get the off road tires, but not all the specific models, which would be a handy reference guide. And I do know the Impreza Super TC gets those tires. It is an AWD car.

And wait, you're saying that any NSX except for the two LM Editions can be off-roaded. I can believe that, except you're implying that the JGTC models can be rallied. I don't think they can.

If this ever gets finished, an Excel spreadsheet would work.

i'll help if you want. won't take long seeing that arcade mode would be an easy way to list them. select a dirt track, go to every car and when you don't get the screen "X X 'XX this car can't be entered on dirt or snow" then that's a car which you can fit with rally tires. simple as that. and if you miss a few cars in arcade, just buy or win them in simulation.

another "weird" car is the Option Stream Z. that car can race on dirt and snow as well, even though it's an RWD. and as for the JGTC NSXes, you're right. those can't be entered eithter

Okay, I'll go check all the cars available from Day 1 in Arcade Mode to see if they can or not. But I'm keeping GT3 as my main pursuit. And you can rally the Option Z? Talk about an option.

 nice one :D if you need any help with listing them, post it here or contact me. I'd be glad to help out

Yeah, I'll start looking for some cars in Arcade Mode that get the dirt tires, probably next weekend. When we do know more individual models that can be rallied, I'll start listing them in the OP, starting with the two Alpines. Never driven an A110, but I know it can used in rallies. I've rallied an A310, so we'll start there. Since, I'm aware that all NSXes except for those noted by odomre get the tires, I shall note those now.

BTW, I renamed the thread title, not very different though. Time to keep this bookmarked.

I will let any user to post names of individual cars that can have off road tires, help will be a must in something like this.

Okay, everything is set up. If a manufacturer is there on the undone list, post any car you know can can or cannot accept off road tires! This is sure to take some time.

Yeah, I have it under control pretty good thanks to Car-less.

So I heard you like progress. Only a few manufacturers left, and they're mostly the big ones. We're sure gonna go through a lot of Skylines.

By the way, do you know if any of the cars you noted can be rallied in Arcade Mode but not in Sim Mode, or the other way around? There might be a few. I know the Nike One can be rallied in Sim Mode and you say it can't be in Arcade, I have a feeling there are more of those.

Surprised Scion hasn't been checked yet. Or am I missing something? I'm guessing as FF cars, they should be available with off road tires, but they have more unique body styles. So I'm not sure.

i'm pretty sure all the 4WD Skylines can take dirt and snow tires. about the 2WD ones, i'm not so sure, might want to check those out. another big manufacturer, Toyota, has a lot of cars that can be rallied, even the Supras. the only one of those that I know that don't are the Triathlon Race Car and the road race cars (the rally cars obviously can)

I have no idea if any of these can be rallied in GT mode but I wouldn't expect it to be any different to what is allowed in arcade mode and I'm surprisd that the Nike can.

I specifically noted Arcade mode as that was where I tested them, though you can in fact rally any car in arcade mode by tricking the game and pressing right and X at the same time whilst choosing from your favorites. My lists are therefore the cars that can/can not normally be raced off-road.

Here's the rest of them from the PAL version. You'll have to get someone else to check Scion as we don't get them here, just like NTSC doesn't get Vauxhall.

...and don't forget to mention that Ford Australia is seperate from Ford USA.

Can be raced off-road in arcade mode:
Honda road cars **except NSX-R Prototype LM road car**
Mazda road cars
Mazda concept cars
Mitsubishi All **except FTO touring car**
Nissan road cars **except R390 GT1 road car**
Nissan tuning cars
Nissan Bluebiurd rally car
Nissan 240RS rally car
Toyota road cars
Toyota Rally cars
Toyota 7 race car

Can not be raced off-road in arcade mode:
Honda NSX-R Prototype LM road car
Honda race cars
Mazda Falken RX7 D1GP
Mazda race cars
Mitsubishi FTO touring car
Nissan R390 GT1 road car
Nissan GT-R Concept (Tokyoshow)
Nissan race cars **except classic rally cars**
Toyota 88C-V race car
Toyota GT-ONE race car
Toyota JGTC cars
Toyota Touring car
Toyota Motor Triathlon car

NTSC Scion xA '03 = PAL Toyota IST 1.5S '02
NTSC Scion xB '03 = PAL Toyota BB 1.5Z X Verion '00

There's a few name differences between NTSC and PAL but most are still under the same manufacturer, ie NTSA Honda Fit W '01 = PAL Honda Jazz 1.4dsi Se Sp '01, but those two (i think) are the only ones that have different make and model names.

EDIT: There may be more, ie NTSA Acura DN-X '02 = PAL Honda Dualnote '01

This is going a lot faster than I expected. All we have left are the Scion xA and xB (Toyota ist and bB for PAL/NSTC-J users), which shouldn't take long. Don't you love fast progress?

Car-less's PAL list says "Toyota road cars" can use off road tyres, so I'd guess those two probably can be used off road as well.

This is a good bit of research, guys! Personally I'm surprised that nobody had done this ages ago. Kudos! 👍

Yeah, it's shocking that there isn't a list like this for a 7 year old game. But there is now. Putting it together was easy though. Thanks to o than I odomre for helping early on, and Car-less for providing the majority of the info. It all went faster thanks to Car-less. Now we have the info I was looking for.👍

The OP is still a little unclear for mind, you open it and it says here is a list of cars that can be rallied, which is fine until you get to the blanks.
For example Alpine, it doesn't say anything, which looks like it means none of those cars can be rallied, it might be clearer if under it it said "All cars", and then listing any exceptions as opposed to leaving those manufacturer's blank. Just my 2c.

EDIT: This is what happens if you don't read the full post, you might end up looking daft.

The OP also said that a company name listed but no names are listed, all cars from that company can be rallied. And not all of the manufacturers in the game are listed.

You're right I missed it, but that's partly because it's all the way down at the bottom of the post, might I suggest you move it up top with the rest of the disclaimers.

Either way thanks for the list.

Done. Edited OP, moved the blankness note to above the list. It's all ready to go. Enjoy guys! Just don't give me all the credit.
