Over the course of the franchise PD have excluded many things to replace with new features and modes.
This is an attempt to highlight list all things missing from the previous installation to GT6​

Let me know in clear writing if I have overlooked any finer details anything and I will be sure to update the post shortly.

Note: Things that have been improved upon in GT6 are not listed. Nor things that were present in GT games before GT5, including GT4 or any of the concept games like GT5 Prologue.


The List
Tuning:
  • Sports Air Filter & Racing Air Filter (replaced with Intake Tuning)
  • 1, 1.5 and 2 way Differential (replaced with the Limited-Slip Differential)
  • Break-in mileage before bonus hp gain
Cars & collecting items:
  • Gift car trading via gift truck
  • Option to give car to a friend
  • Horn collecting and assigning to any car
Missing Cars:
Career:
  • A & B-Spec leveling progression system with rewards
  • Earn +%credits for using lower pp car in race
  • Demo car option from Dealership and garage
  • Leveling to unlock car in Dealership
    • 3 lifelike Showrooms for car viewing than just studio in Dealership
  • Search cars by model/interior quality: Dealership=premium, Used Cars=standard
  • Online Dealership
  • PP window missing from GT Auto when fitting Aero parts
Game Modes:
  • Speed Test mode (came with Route X track in GT5, game mode not carried over to GT6)
  • One-make race (Arcade mode)
  • Shuffle race (Online)
  • Remote Race (a really cool feature that lets your B-Spec drivers race your PSN friends' B-Spec drivers for prize money).
Course Maker:
  • Track adjustment from console: camber, width, corner sharpness all adjusting by individual sectors
    • Universal adjusting: default time, sector count, weather
  • 7 themes total inc. Snow Toscana & Kart themes (Vs. 4 themes in GT6)
Various:
  • More Photo Travel locations (10 Vs. GT6's 4)
  • The Top Gear Test Track
  • GT channel
  • Classy menu style and order (replaced with practical metro tiles)
    • Models and environment showcase for main screen
  • Static green light to tell the user if a race is underway in a lobby. Found in lobby search menu(Replaced with barely-noticeable Blue Square)

physics (some backwards? camber still not working?)
jaggies smoke blur effect
money glitches
exploits
loading times
B-Spec driver can enter/finish A-Spec race and vice-versa(?)

You got the different limited slip options yet neglected one of the most useful features which has been a part of every GT until this present one?

Maybe its just me but I don't recall a drag strip or top speed test mode in GT5. Please site your source so I can update the OP.

Never bought the DLC for GT5, so this is excellent news now I can add it to the OP.:lol:

Edit: @Thomas2012 correct there was a yellow GT4 LE 350z, it has been added along with a Missing cars section and some hyperlinks.
Keep in mind that GT6 does have the track, but not Speed Test.
