Just curious as to why sometimes you'll see a white "GT" logo over the spinning 'disc loading' animation, and sometimes you'll see a blue and red rectangle over the load animation. Perhaps it's just random, perhaps not? Anybody in the know, please help to answer this... :dunce:

(forgive me if this has been posted before, but I DID do a forum search and came up with no such topic yet...)

I think it's random and just to have some different loading screen... but I really don't care about what the loading screen looks like

No idea sorry

it seems as if it's totally random but maybe PD has some kind of hypnotic thing going on... to keep us playing.. but just maybe, it's probably random.

when you come to the end of a session race when your just about to claim you car prize when it goes congratulations it always seems to be the red and blue one. but it is probly just random. not that it matters anyways. lol. as long as the game works,

You want to race more...race more...race more...

i think it uses one of them for when its loading render data (like starting a race etc..) and one for menu loads. (like quitting out of a series and it has to load the main map screen)
but i'm at work right now, so thats all just theory.

Mine turns red when it can't read the disc..

does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? i cant get past a certain point in my game because of this. everytime i do a race, after i win it, the load screen comes up with the spinning icon red and sits there forever. im forced to reset the ps2, and therefore lose my race stats for that race.

anyone know a fix for this?

Yea that's what I'd say too.

If I'm not mistaken the white is used for when entering races/replays.

Probably it indicates one is reading data from the memory card and the other one is saving data to the memory card. White comes up when I get into a car from my garage so I would say white indicates loading data. The red and blue comes up after a race so that would indicate saving to the memory card.

press eject, and again, to put the disc back in.
give it 20secs after that.

repeat until it can load.

Nope, it's random.
Try entering a race, you'll see either logo. Exit the race, you've a 50:50 chance of seeing either logo. Enter the same race again, still 50:50 chance of getting either.
Do this enough times, and you'll see both logos for entering or exiting races. Similarly if you go from the Home screen to the setup menu using the Start button, and back again, once more, both icons are seen both ways.
