High Speed Ring - japan
Cape Ring - south africa
Autumn Ring - canada
Deep Forest Raceway - Germany
Grand Valley Speedway - usa
Eiger Nordwand - Switzerland
Trial Mountain Circuit - USA
Kart Space -
Special Stage Route X - japan
Apricot Hill Raceway - Japan
Gran Turismo Arena - Asia
Matterhorn - Switzerland
Special Stage Route 5 - ?
Special Stage Route 7 - ?

I just made a list of all original tracks and their possible location :)

Well they are not in GT6 so not sure it matters but several of the original tracks that were in GT4 were based in the USA. El Capitan, Seattle, New York, Grand Canyon and I can't remember the name of the Yosemite rally track that was in there.

I believe you mean Cathedral Rocks? Great memories on that course. :O

Because it's known fact, like GT6 Nurburgring located in real Nurburg :D

Nurburgring is not an original track, Its a World Circuit, so no its not like that....I saw Matterhorn in this thread also and I think its a known fact where that is. I guess it doesn't count though if you really only mean original tracks and not the city courses. This includes the SSR5-7

Deep Forest Raceway, it could be that it is in germany.
We have much big forests, schwarzwald, sauerland.... and much more.

These are my opinions on possible locations. I don't buy into any of that "it was used for race Y in GTX" for figuring out where the tracks are, I'm simply going off the scenery.

High Speed Ring - Europe or Asia, built by some car manufacturer as a test facility.

Cape Ring - South Africa, I dunno...this one is weird...

Autumn Ring - the scenery seems like Europe or Eastern NA, but the track layout itself feels Japanese. I always find Euro and American courses to be more high speed and flowing.

Deep Forest Raceway - either the Eastern US ( Appalachian Mtns) or Central Europe.

Grand Valley Speedway - I have a tough time placing this one, but I'll agree it's somewhere in Europe or Asia.

Eiger Nordwand - Switzerland (duh)

Trial Mountain Circuit - This one, I gotta say Japan. While the scenery could fit into Europe, NA, or Japan, I have to pick Japan based on the road markings and the signage....reminds me of a touge. Plus, isn't there a monkey in a tree?

Kart Space - Indoors, so it could be anywhere. My local bowling alley gets lit up like that every Thursday night >.<

Special Stage Route X - most definitely based on the Wangan. I would say the bridge is a rip of the Yokohama Bay Bridge, which goes from Diakoku Futo to Yokohama, in Tokyo.

Apricot Hill Raceway - Where people get Japan from, I dunno. Japan isn't really known for its appricots lol. I would place this track in either Northern California (possibly Oregon), or an even more accurate spot is southern BC, up here in Canafa, eh! The geography looks the same, and the area is riddled with fruit orchards.

Gran Turismo Arena - Hard to tell, but the stadium seems Asian or Euro.

Matterhorn - Switzerland (duh)

Special Stage Route 5 - the oldest part of the Shuto Expressway in downtown Tokyo, known as the C1 Inner and C1 Outer.

Special Stage Route 7 - as Streeto pointed out, this too is based on various sections of the Shuto Expressway. The 3 lane, slightly curvy nature of the track is bang on with the Wangan, and the tunnel is a weak impression of the Wangan Tunnels. The bridge is a combo rip of the Yokohama Bay Bridge, and the Rainbow Bridge (Streeto pic).

Cape Ring could be in Italy with Mt. Vesuvius in the background.

SSRX is next to the world's slowest airport.

I had a GT4 theory that Motorland, Beginner Course, Midfield etc were in the center of the Test Course. If you lauched a car up in the air and took a picture, you could see a whole forested landscape rendered in the center.
I had the exact same theory! I even expanded it to include the SSR tracks, since on the outskirts of the top speed test oval there was an entire city modeled. I know I had a picture of it in GT4, but I don't know if I ever posted it.

Alright, gang, gotta chime in with my own list on this one.
High Speed Ring - Either Japan (looks like a better Fuji to me) or Northern Europe. Though it might as well be Japan
Cape Ring - Japan
Autumn Ring - Northeast (New England) USA, New Hampshire or Massachusetts to be exact
Deep Forest Raceway - Iowa, USA. Already established
Grand Valley Speedway - USA. Where? Michigan, as someone confirmed a real place with the name Grand Valley
Eiger Nordwand - Switzerland
Trial Mountain Circuit - USA
Kart Space - Anywhere. Let's say Baltimore, MD Even!:D:sly:
Special Stage Route X - Japan hands down
Apricot Hill Raceway - Northern California. Think northernmost big city in the state
Gran Turismo Arena - Japan
Matterhorn - Switzerland (no kidding)
Special Stage Route 5 - Japan
Special Stage Route 7 - Japan
Curveball: Chamonix: France:)
Methinks there is at least one other "hidden" Aussie track in GT6 masquerading as an original track. If that is all then nevermind.
PS. Test Course, Motorland, Beginner Course, basically any of the "Driving Park" courses are in the same location. Though I don't think the road courses are inside the oval

Really? It screams Nevada/Arizona desert for me

Edit: Just remembered the harbour, my whole life is a lie. Now I have no discernable place to put it.
HAHA! I'll say Japan for SSRX.

I, for some reason, feel that Cape Ring is either in Japan or New Zealand. I have no reasoning behind my second guess but that just cones to mind when i'm racing there. Apricot Hill has a california feel to me. Autumn Ring, as alot have said, has an Eastern US thing about it. I'm going to be different and say that Kart Space is in Austrailia for no good reason what so ever. Grand Valley, i'm going to have to say, is in either Italy, some where in Asia, or california in the Sierras over looking the central valley(my home area). Deep forrest, i'll say Japan. Trial Mountain, we have a monkey and a sea monster. The sea monster doesnt restrict it to being in Scotsland(even though the position of the creature is a spitting imigae of nessis infamous photo). Any fan of cryptozoology knows sea monsters are reported on all continents. I'm at a loss with trial mountain for now.

The moon track is actually on the moon!!

Or a warehouse in Nevada

Cape Ring Could be just about anywhere...I prefer it to be in Madagascar and i have no idea why.

As you mention it, I also could imagine that Cape Ring is a racetrack in scotland. Austria is also a possible location for this track.

I thought of Scotland for Cape Ring when I first saw it. I haven't taken too many photos there so I'm a little fuzzy on any scenery but the coast to the right when you come off the loop.

I remember a quote somewhere while searching the GTP forums, someone finally tried to read the location of Apricot Hill (a GTP moderator to my surprise) using only the stars in the night sky. The result was that Polaris (North Star) is close to the horizon level of the circuit, so that means it can be roughly somewhere near the equator. This means Indonesia, equatorial Africa, and equatorial South America. Surprised my country is on that list.

The place is full of hills with farmlands surrounding it, and really tall mountains in the far back of the circuit. I don't know anything about central Africa, but I think Kenya, Brazil, and Ecuador are also potential places to host the circuit. While looking at Indonesia, we do have stunning mountains and fertile land, but the question I want to know the most using the country list is,

Where do they grow apricots?
EDIT: I read in a missing GT stuff thread that Ice Arena was located in Canada.

I wonder if I'm the only one who likes to imagine the Kart Space as a chain, and the one we see is only the biggest/most popular location...

These are the locations I'd always had in my mind for these tracks:

High Speed Ring - Japan
Cape Ring - South Africa, because of the 'Cape' part, and SA was in the public eye in 2010 with the World Cup etc
Autumn Ring - Europe, I'd go along with Italy
Deep Forest Raceway - Europe, Southern Germany
Grand Valley Speedway - USA
Eiger Nordwand - Switzerland
Trial Mountain Circuit - USA
Kart Space - Japan
Special Stage Route X - For some reason I always thought South Korea
Apricot Hill Raceway - Alpine Europe, Possibly Austria/Switzerland
Gran Turismo Arena - Western Europe, Spain/Portugal
Matterhorn - Switzerland
Special Stage Route 5 - Japan (always had Tokyo in my mind)
Special Stage Route 7 - Japan (Same)

Trial Mountain is in Scotland! :D
