Logitech Cordless Controller

I picked up a Logitech Cordless 2.4GHz controller the other day and I must say I'm really impressed with it. It's alot larger than a regular PS2 controller but it's formed to fit your hand so if you have big hands (like me) it should be alot more comfortable. The buttons also seem to be more sensative than the regular controller which helps alot in GT4 since I don't have space for a wheel. The D-Pad is actually a circle and works more like the joystick since you can use angles. You can even change the level of vibration you want. The downside is there is no grip on the top of the joysticks, however there is a tip to put your thumb in and it holds pretty well, that and it takes 4 AA batteries. It comes with 4 duracell batteries and a reciever with ~2.5' long cable so you can tuck the PS2 away and have the reciever out to get a better signal. I haven't noticed any delay yet and the signal is strong enough I can use the controller from a different room (not that anyone would ever do that). I highly reccomend this for anyone looking into cordless controllers.

I also picked up the same one. I like the feel, but after some extended use, the R1 and L1 buttons are getting sticky. :( I'm afraid it's wear and tear, and not attributed to pop or beer.

Anyhow, good controller, just don't know about the longevity of the product.

I guess you picked the old controllers. The large ones with blue analog sticks, am I right? Logitech also released a much smaller version for less ($40).

I also got one of the older ones and I`m quite happy with it. It`s pretty good for racing, and shooters since the analog sticks are quite precise and aren`t as loose (not to be confused with tension as they are much easier to push) as the regular ds2`s sticks. I`m quite comfortable with the size as it fits my hands pretty well and the ergonomics that was built into the controller are pretty well designed.

The downsides are the buttons and the dpad. The buttons are pretty soft so it feels pretty mushy when you`re playing fighting games like devil may cry 3, it`s impossible to do the correct button combos. And the d-pad is absolute rubbish, Having it as a circle was dumb since it`s pretty easy to hit up or down, when you intended on hitting right. But that`s not a big issue for me since i use the sticks all the time more than the pad.

I`m assuming that the newer smaller controller fixes most of these complains as, now the dpad isn`t layed out like a circle and hopefully the buttons aren`t as soft.
