Hey all you GTPlanet users, I currently have the Logitech DFGT wheel and I do like it for the most part after using it for about a month and a half but I hear a lot of talk about the G25/G27 wheels and it got me thinking.

1. I heard that Logitech stopped making the G25, is this true and does that mean that the stores no longer sell them?

2. I know the G27 has a clutch and H shifter but does GT5 fully support it?

3. What are some other critical things that makes this wheel so much better than the DFGT?

I threw these question together really fast and I might have some more so please try and help me out here with the best information you can on the wheel, thanks in advance! 👍

1.Oficially Logitech doesn't sell anymore of G25 wheels. Ofcourse, you can buy new one from eBay

2.Yes, GT5 Fully supports your clutch (You just have to press triangle when you start the race)

3.Well, it has the same clutch and six-speed shifter.

Between the G25/G27 which one do you think is "better"? I don't like ordering on eBay and i'd rather go pick up one at the local Best Buy or Fry's and being that the G27 is newer you'd think it would be better, right?

Oh thanks!

Edit: Well I would like for the G27 to be compared up against the DFGT or could you please link me to something like that?

There is literally like tons. Not saying any are that good that you can find all your info all in one place, but if you glance at a few you will find those answers and more.

Deffinately, G27 is better. Not that only it's newer then G27. You will get 100% valid warranty from Logitech, if you buy the G27, cause it's newer model, and they don't make G25 anymore. +G27's pedals can be adjusted from left to right and so on. So, i recommend you to buy G27 not G25.

Btw, I'm kinda looking for an wheel too, but my main choice is GT Driving Force. Still, im looking for alternatives to this.

Ok first of all I had the DFGT also. Sold it to buy a g27. The speed and precision of the g27 is AMAZING. Compared to the DFGT, wich sux, its life or death. In my country the DFGT cost 100 dollars, G27 is 600. I know, crazy. But If I chose to be stuck with a DFGT or buy 2 G27, I would buy 2 G27. Its incredibly real, soft, if u drift, you'll become pro, like I have. Really. If you got the cash go for the G27, hands down. Worth every peni(s)

My brother had a G25 a couple of years ago.
Didn't try it too much, but I can say this.
I had a DFGT that I returned.
What I can say is this. The DFGT WHEEL is ok, while the pedals are ****.
It's the biggest problem with this combo.

I would advice you on a G27 if you plan to stay with it.

If you are a big GT5 player I would def. look at the T500.
It's around 150 euros more.

I got the G27 and it is amazing compared to the DFGT! The 6 speed shifter is so realistic along with the pedals, wheel, and clutch. :D

The T500 is WAY to much money.

Dude, T500 is definetly not worth 150 euros.
In Amazon its around 600$...

Damn, I wanted to buy DFGT, but as it turns out, I better don't because it hasnt got good pedals.

Any suggestions? My budget = Around 200$

Read again, it's 150 euros MORE than a G27. Atleast for me here in Sweden (I ordered the T500 for 420 euros).
G27 is 260, so yeah 160 euro DIFFERENCE.

But for GT5 the G27 isn't just that great.

But is that the g27s fault or is that gt5s fault? G27 works great on any other game you play with it.

In my opinion......
This is the best deal for $200

Porsche 911 Carrera force feedback racing wheel
RennSport Wheel Stand V2

Pedals with clutch
6+1 speed shifter

When i picked up my Carrera package it was 180 after shipping and i believe the rennsport stand was around 120. so you are saving about $100 usd with this package.

The pedals are lacking a bit. But I found them to be better than the entry level logitechs. With that said you can upgrade to the csp pedal set later on or any of the new fanatec pedal sets coming out. It looks like the CSR pedals are going to be essentially replacing the old standard pedal set.

I personally used a carrera for a couple months before I upgraded to the GT2/CLUBSPORT PEDALS.

It's been working great for me so far on GT5.

Oh well I haven't experienced any of that just yet. 👍

Hmmm...
What I have heard from most people this is a fact on all of Logitech wheels (DFGT/G25/G27).
Well, glad you are enjoying it.
The G27 is not a bad wheel in any way.
The pedals are great for the money, the wheel is good for the money.
