Why not add a clutch? Or is that too much asked? Imagine the possibilties.. It would really enhance game play a lot and besides the greater retail price I dont see any downside. For the easier levels it would be turned off shifting semi-automatic and only in pro mode (GT3 R1+L1 trick) you could make use of the clutch. Just wondering if I'm the only one who thinks this is beneficial.

The only other game that had used a CLUTCH was the arcade version of F355 Challenge, I played it on Professional and enjoyed it, but I saw other people playing it and nobody used it.

What I'm saying is, Logitech would have included it, if they wanted to, but they choose not to, maybe due to constrictions in there research and development.

:trouble:

It was also in an artical in PSM(an interview with KY) here is the exact question and response.

"PSM Did you ever consider the option of a clutch or clutch pedal in the game."

"KY Yes, I considered the option of a clutch or clutch pedal in the game, however, the clutch operration relies on the gravity the driver feels, and gravity force has been difficult to simulate, so there is no clutch."

I personally wish there was a clutch pedal. But like KY said it is hard to simualte. I don't know if you have ever drivein a real car before witha manual. But at different RPM's gears positions and other factors a clutch feels different. It would be very hard to simulate in a game.

BTW F 355 Challenge is an awesome game.

A friend of mine wanted a clutch. There's so much going on with the clutch that I do believe it would be too difficult to accurately simulate and thus make it a detraction of quality in the game. It needs more research.

I think Act-Labs makes a clutch that comes with their new wheel and gated six speed shifter. They are made for PC though.
