Now the cat's outta the bag, would you be so kind as to say how the long the cable is on the RS H-Gate Shifter? 3 meters might be long enough to connect it my G-Pro without an extension. 3.5-4m would probably be better though.

No guarantee until announcement is made. But based on what has leaked already, it will be H-pattern only. No feature to switch to sequential or handbrake.

As i'm in the Logi eco system i wish Logi much success in the sim racing business. And i'm happy for owners on consoles, because they finally get a decent shifter.
But as i'm on pc i am glad i did not wait years for this (bought a Simagic DS-8X shifter two years ago, amazing product).
The new Logi shifter looks more like an RS shifter than a Pro shifter. The lack of a sequential option is also a missed opportunity. It's more versatile that way (being able to shift sequentially AND use the handbrake at the same time for example). It seems like the Pro line has been dropped from the start, which is a shame. But i think it is safe to assume the more affordable RS line is a lot more succesful.

I don't recall how long the cable on my old g27 class shifter is. I do know there's a 1m (3ft+-) extension I have it connected with to get it routed the way I wanted, under my chair to the wheelstand, up the wheelstand to the gpro adapter on the desktop, next to the wheel base. 8.2ft might be enough. I think it'll be a close thing though. We'll know for certain, later this month I reckon. Providing i can get my order in before stock runs out.

I enthusiastically welcome the strengthening of the Logitech eco-system.

I perfectly understood the sequential/handbrake combo. Logi did well to treat it as a priority.

It’s a real added value for rally players and GT7 events on gravel (which I never practice personally).

Although the H-shifter was highly anticipated by some here and elsewhere, I am not sure that the stock shortage will be immediate.

I think it’s a niche product in the niche.

I am convinced that it will bring a gain in immersion and fun... however for competitive players or those looking for the last tenth, I think that 2 pedals, left foot brake, and paddles shifter remain the combo of performance.

Absolutely.
Im happy for the people who has ages waiting for this, but I dont see me buying it.
I removed the clutch long time ago and Im not planning to re-install it in a short term

What Iam really waiting for is the McLaren rim.
I bought a HUB for it months ago and the poor thing is collecting dust waiting for the wheel launch!

When is the release? I’m on vacation starting April 13 and it would come in handy then!

Some mention competitive racing. Personally, I already have a competitive life and work, and I like to relax by driving manual cars around the Nürburgring. I can do that for hours. So for me, this shifter would be a blessing—I’ve been waiting for it for years.

One thing that makes me wonder when I look at the photos is the length of the slots for the stick in each gear. They seem short compared to Thrustmaster shifters. I hope the stick will go into gear smoothly and hold its position without any issues.
