logitech g pro wheel rotation

I have a logitech g pro and I play on PS5. I make my adjustments in the steering wheel. I adjust the steering wheel angle to 280. I go to the game options and check the steering wheel settings and the steering wheel rotates 280 degrees. So far everything is fine. When I start a race the game or the steering wheel resets the rotation to 1080. How do I keep my settings? Is this a bug in the game or the steering wheel? Is there a manipulation to do?
Thanks

As I understand it, this is a 'GT7' feature', the game determines the steering wheel rotation for the car chosen and resets it every race. Frustrating. When you have arthritis or a disability it would be useful to be able to reduce the movement required.

This is so stupid I have a Logitech pro wheel as well, and it keeps resetting to 1080 once the race starts. There no reason an F1 car needs to spin in each direction 540 degrees. Can you imagine a yoke steering wheel? It’s so unrealistic and unnecessary

It’s causing a lot of issues with drifting as well and sharp turn with an f1 style car

ITs worse than just resetting. You can pause the game, set the desired setting, and it wont changed until you retry the event, or change to a new event. but that doesn't help because GT7 ignores any changes you make on the logitech G pro wheel, but other games like F1 24 or Assetta Corso work as expected. It also works using my Thrustmaster T300 wheel. SO LOGICTECH FIX YOUR DEVICE OR FIX GT7 us disabled people need help.

Massive 100% agreement with you guys.

I have longterm hand and wrist issues that make anything more than 90º in each direction difficult. On top of this I'm used to a 180º setting, having used an original Driving Force wheel for 20 years before upgrading to the G Pro.

I asked Rich about this more than a year ago and have requested a follow-up response twice since.

Here are my posts:

My "Ignore DoR Updates" Request

Follow-up Prompt 1

Follow-up Prompt 2

All we need is a single parameter: Angle Lock with the options "off" and "on".

Rich's initial response was encouraging. It was simply, "potentially an option".

I hadn't mentioned my hand and wrist issues to Rich previously 'cause I didn't want to sound dramatic, but now that you guys have broken the ice, well, it's super-frustrating to say the least.

So far I've had to pause the game immediately after crossing the start / finish line and make the adjustment to 180º every single race. This necessary action prevents any sort of online racing, be it in private lobbies or the "daily" races.

Lastly, I cannot tell you guys how relieved I am to learn that I'm not the only one who absolutely needs this "feature". An additional frustration has been to witness streamers on, say, Fanatec gear make DoR adjustments that stick.

Brother Rich, we need you mate! @LOGI_Rich
