Hello,

It's been a long time since I posted here, apologies if this is in the wrong place or if there is another thread, I'm using the android app and find it had to search properly.

My wheel was changed by logitech under a year ago due to alignment/calibration issues.

The new one, I didn't take out the box for months because I was moving house at time. About 10 months later now, I've used it about 10 times and same again. I went online and found this optical encoder and bought it. It came in post today. Should I go for it or should I try logitech again and wait for it to break or go out of warranty first?

Took your advice and phoned them. Off the bat, he found my history from my email. His response was, you sound like you've done all the thorough tests and its a hardware failure, let's not waste any time, get the ball rolling and get UPS to your house and pick up the item.

So, sent my address details to them and now waiting for free postage label via email.

Thanks. What now? When I get it, do I do it all over again, in a cycle? At some point I should fit the little cog wether in warranty or not.

Drive it like you stole it. :) Ive had my g27 since just after release with no issues so Id say youll be all set.

Wow, so no faults? Even with the plastic encoder? I must be doing something wrong. Thanks for your feedback....feedback!?...Geddit?

I'll get my coat.

hi my friend,

same as fatkar really, iv'e had g27 18 months no problems, im noy a high user but my friend had his almost when it came out his is still going strong and its had a tremendous amount of hours of use and no bother, sounds like u may be really unlucky, or maybe your sitting at wierd angle and maybe pulling the wheel down or something but i doubt it, i would not advise you to tamper with it within warranty as if it goes again then your on your own. hope you get on ok buddy

My first wheel failed after about 2 months from the same issue, it would calibrate and then it would go further off centre the longer you used it. They replaced it and 3 years later after a lot of hard use my 2nd G27 is still working great.

Did have some issues with the brake pedal sticking though, first time I fixed it by modding my pedals (put some hose pipe in the brake pedal to increase the pressure, which stopped it rubbing/sticking), second time it occured I used some contact cleaner and it fixed the problem.
