Guys,
Anyone who's been following my posts over the last three days would be more than aware that I bought the Logitech GT3 wheel over the weekend...
I've managed to hook the wheel up to my Toshi laptop (12m old 2670DVD with W98) in its other guise as a Formula Force GP.
If you have one of these wheels and you want to do this, it's really easy - Win98 can recognise the controller via the USB connection, and then to properly set it up you just need to go to http://www.wingmanteam.com and download the Logitech software (it's pretty big, just over 10 meg but it's worth it)
Make sure you're running the current DirectX file.
When you run the Install for the Logitech software, there's a neat little calibration set-up in there - almost worth the download right there.
Once you've done that, you're away. The Wingman site has specific set-ups for a lot of games. It's really easy.
Of course, tonight my girlfriend walked into the study to find me hunched over the steering wheel playing TOCA Touring Car Championship (hey, it was lying around) on the little laptop screen. I think I now officially rate as a Lost Cause
