Driveclub was a no, the last time I checked it. In theory Dirt Rally 1 should work fine, as Codemasters generally talked to the SDK correctly (and if a dev does that then any Logitech wheel should work).

Thanks for such a quick answer. So in driveclub there was not a way to assign the wheel for even basic compatibilty? Such a shame. :/

Seit dieser Woche habe ich immer wieder eine Störung der RS50, sie geht mitten im Rennen einfach aus, und danach geht sie wieder an und ich kann sie wieder mit der Ps5 verbinden.
Es ist jetzt 3x passiert, ich habe dadurch mein Ligarennen zerstört.
 
@LOGI_Rich I'm trying to order an RS50 from the Logi website using both the Logitech 15% off a first order code, and the Kireth code, as many people on Reddit and the FB Logi group have said you can stack a promo code with an affiliate code, however it won't allow me to do both. Can you advise further? Thanks
 
Hi there. Ordinarily you should not be able to stack discount codes, so I genuinely don't know why some people are reporting that they were able to. Do we have more details of exactly what they did and which country they're in?

You can read in this reddit thread that a few UK people had stacked the 2:
 
It may be that this was a temporary error that has since been solved. If it won't allow you to enter both then there's no way to override it. Sorry.
 
Hi there, I just bought a RS50 system and have spent more time reading about settings than actual driving! 🤣 I could use some help!

For context I race mostly on GT7. So far I think I found a good middle ground for
  • FFB torque: 8nm on base, 6/10 in-game (FFB Max torque)
  • TF Audio: 100 on base, 75 in-game (controller vibrations)
  • Dampener: 1
What I'm struggling with are
  1. FFB filter: is it best to use low value like 5 or auto?
  2. In-game FFB Sensitivity: this is the most puzzling one, consensus is all over the place, literally from 1 to 10.
For example Coach Dave Academy goes for 10 (link)
"On my current Logitech RS50, I use a baseline of 5 Max. Torque with a +/-1 margin for extreme cases, a fixed 10 Sensitivity, and +/- 75 Vibration intensity."

Whereas on Sim Racing Cockpit they state Rich recommends 1 (albeit on a Logi G Pro)(link)
"Logitech’s LOGIRich account actively recommends Sensitivity 1 on the G PRO for GT7."

What are your preferred settings?

AFAIK with in game sensitivity you should start at 1 and add more until you don't get any oscillations driving in a straight line. Could be wrong though
 
Is all about your sensitivity to oscillations. If you don’t mind holding on tightly when driving down the straights, then feel free to ramp up the sensitivity.
 
@LOGI_Rich , is it possible to reinstall the latest firmware or fall back. This update seems to have made my rotary dials even worse where they are unusable in the game. They either don't respond right away when turning or jump multiple times per click. It is ruining races its so bad.
 
Im gonna ask a really dumb question - I play controller right now but I'm going to make the step to a DD wheel later this year.

Im trying to decide which one to get. with the RS 50 My issue is that I have to buy the base and the pedals separately but I saw that the RS 50 has a load cell brake pedal.

How is this different than the other pedals ?
 
@Pwrplay there is no way to roll firmware back and reinstalling wouldn't change anything. Do you have a video that shows the issue? Everyone else is reporting much better response since the firmware update.

@CommanderBond A load cell brake is generally considered the ticket to better braking consistency, because it measures pressure, rather than pedal deflection. It's far easier to achieve consistent braking pressure than it is braking deflection. Historically this was often treated as a feature of higher end pedals, or as an optional upgrade to entry level pedals. With the RS Pedals it's just included as standard.

I'll try to grab a video in the next few days and upload it. It's pretty bad to the point I had to remap buttons to accomadate making changes without using the rotary dials.

Hello everyone!

I've been reverse engineering the RS50, the G Pro and the TrueForce protocol in general, hoping to get the RS50 and G Pro fully functioning under Linux with full FFB and 100% accurate TrueForce effects.

After 6 months of effort I've finally reached that goal. I've been driving AC EVO, ACC and other titles myself with the RS50 on CachyOS with my driver - by using Proton. We achieved 100% accurate TrueForce effects by simply using the actual DLL files from Logitech in some clever ways; So you need to get those files from the computer where you have G Hub installed (or if you install G Hub in a Wine prefix to get those files).

It's still not part of the mainline Linux kernel (and may never be), so you have to install it manually yourself.

If you're using an atomic OS such as Bazzite, you can't install the driver just yet (I believe, someone correct me if I'm wrong). I'll work on getting that fixed. I have published a package to the AUR for Arch-based distros, since I'm using CachyOS myself.

Please feel free to report any bugs or weird behaviours directly on Github which is where I try to keep discussions about development.

Now you can finally leave Windows behind!

When on GHUB I've noticed that there is a tick box "enable auto force feedback filter". It's currently unticked, are there any benefits to having this enabled? and does to affect all profiles as I currently have the 5 profiles all set for different games/settings (GT7, ACC, EA WRC, F1 25 & a GT7_KIDS version where torque is dialled down).
 
@LOGI_Rich How familiar are you with GT7s FFB settings and what they actually do? I'm ordering an RS50 this week mostly for GT7 so I want to set it up right.
I just watched a youtube video which said that 'controller steering sensitivity' does actually affect wheel users, where the lower the value the more input lag you get, making steering softer and more predictable. Is this true? As I always believed it to only affect controller users.
FFB strength is quite self explanatory but again, is it best to max that out in game, then refine the output power from the wheels settings? Or set the torque on the wheel, then refine the power using the in game slider?
Also what does FFB sensitivity even do? I couldn't find a concrete answer, it seems everyone has their own opinion on what it supposedly does.

We already got direct confirmation from Polyphony that the controller steering sensitivity has zero effect on steering wheels.

For FFB Strength, whatever you set it to in-game becomes the maximum output that it sends to the wheel anyway. So if you set to 5 in-game and 8Nm on the base, you're not going to get 8Nm (more like 5-6). My recommendation is to leave the base and just set in-game for GT7.

FFB Sensitivity essentially alters the steepness of the force ramp as you turn the wheel from centre. Setting it to 10 will make everything much more responsive overall, but at the cost of often severe oscillations when driving down a straight. Some people are happy with that; I myself am not and find it more natural-feeling to set it to 1. It's all personal though and no judgement either way.
