Is it possible to get a Logitech G29 shifter to work on a pc without the wheel you use a generic DB9 to USB adapter?

But ask yourself did this make sense 40€ shifter + 30€ adapter cable? Better buy a TH8a, this shifter will last forever. Not only 4 days like the little plastic toy thing from logitech. Also the TH8a is compatible with ps4.

For me? Yes. Shifter cost £25 (or less, it was in a bundle on sale). And I already had it when I got the adapter. Pffft, it still works, even after modding it.

Of course was tempted by TH8A, but at £150 plus $45 for the inevitable short shift adapter, for something that people still seem to want to mod further... not worth it for the amount I'd use it. More tempted by the Fanatec CSS, TBH.

In other news, the 1600€ Fanatec DD wheel is better than the Logitech 200€ wheel. Who'd have thought?!
