I think he is using d1 rules. But I like being able to pass, in my opinion if the lead car goes way off line then the following car should be able to pass. This to me shows me who the better drifter is. But like I stated this is only my opinion.

Exactly. And,

The chasing driver MUST at all times demonstrate a superior drift in order to Keep the pressure on the lead driver,
If a chasing driver is unable to keep up and maintain pressure on the lead driver this will not be good for him when the time comes for votes.

But,

If I think about it ... if the driver is off course and it is possible to pass him without deviating
from the line and also without losing angle, speed & without hitting the lead .. I think it would be possible to do it.
