Hey all,
I don't mean for this to sound like a rant but I'm really frustrated with GT6. I've been playing the GT series since day one and have always loved them. This was my "go to" game....I could always rely on having a great time playing the games regardless of my mood or anything else. It always put a huge grin on my face...now I get mad and yell at the tv. My tunes from GT3 thru GT5 were always spot on for my style of driving...I could throw my cars around on the tracks and they would stick without the cars sliding off the track or wrecking all the time. I know one of the reasons for this was the fact that I could race with racing soft tires on all the GT games....can't do that with GT6....I can only use racing hards...sucky, even using full-on race cars. I've gotten somewhat comfortable with a couple of my cars but they're still all over the tracks. Apparently some of the suspension settings are backwards compared to GT5, I don't know.
I've raced all but 4 or 5 races in the single player mode and still haven't unlocked the Super License races...not sure why but, can't race them (probably need more of those dumb stars to proceed).
I hate to say it but, I'm just not enjoying this game...it seems like more was taken away from the game instead of added to the game. I realize that online racing is where it's at but I don't race online.
Could you guys give a GT veteran some advice or words of wisdom that will keep me from hanging up this game? I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks guys.

The suspension settings can be problematic, at least ride height and camber are. Experiment with the ride height of each car you tune by putting it to maximum then to minimum to see which setting gives more grip and set camber to 0.0. Also, don't expect the game to be as easy as previous entries, the tyre modelling is more realistic meaning it's less forgiving. I'm enjoying it, GT5 was just way too easy to recover slides in.

Well, just an update...I tried leaving the settings on default for my Corvette and low and behold, you guys were right. I noticed a marked improvement. I even toyed with the tires. I found that using comfort softs up front and racing hards in the rear work pretty well on my ZR 1 (CO6). I didn't touch the settings on the tranny too much either and it seems that my 3rd gear, wheel spinning issue has remedied itself. The only thing I toyed with was the final gear ratio depending on what track I'm on. I think I also fixed the issue with my front end bottoming out and cooking off my front tires.

Thanks again for all the input and suggestions guys, I really appreciate it.

Mate the Chapparal 2j costs 4.5mill. With a full login bonus It would take less than 1hr 20mins to get the cr in the Redbull Jr event. Get going.

Hey dude....hey listen, I just went to the dealership on the game and checked on that Chapparal and it's definitely not 4.5 mil....it's listed at 15 mil. No way I'll be getting that car anytime soon. Also, I don't have that Redbull Jr. event. I'm guessing that's any online race...I don't play online, wish I did 'cuz that's where I hear there is good money to be made.

There is not that good money for online races such as time trails and with the redbull event is good money but you have to do a lot of grinding for hours and hours for a couple of million dollars which to me is crap. PS You have not got internet connection to your PS3 have you.

No internet connection for my PS3....tried to piggyback it to my laptop but no joy....I was told by a few it would work but then more told me it wouldn't work. I don't have an external modem either, I have mobile broadband for my laptop.

The aussie version of the game the 2J costs 4-5mil. Your from the US so the 2J might be 15mil like GT5. So sorry bout that I was unaware. I don't know why the cars would be different prices. Just saying the redbull events come with the update even without the login bonus you still can make 650-700k in 30 odd minutes.
