Whats an X box?
looking for the longest tracks (songs) out there peoples

My longest is Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant," at a little over eighteen and a half minutes. It's also not a song - merely speaking with music in the background - and, if not for the vague hilarity of the words, would be extremely tedious.
 
I think the longest original track (i.e. not a remix) that I have is New Order's Elegia, which is approx 17:15

Off the top of my head, I can only remember: TOOL's cover of the Led Zepplin classic "No Quarter" = 13+ mins.
 
Stereolab's Jenny Ondioline is between 17 and 18 minutes. I'll have to check when I get home.

I once had a Skinny Puppy album that was recorded onto one track. It must have been an error...too annoying to listen to for 55+ minutes, anyhow
 
You know, there are composer tracks that can be days - or weeks - in length...
 
"Jessica" by the Allman Brothers Band. It's 16:08, pure instrumental.

i thought that you knew i listened to these guys, recently got their Hell on Stage double live album (had to have it imported)

i know of 2 guys here that like Man-O-War, me and a mate of mine havent heard of anyone else

just had alook at my new dreamtheater album, it only has 6 tracks on 2 cd's, i believe that should say something about the length of the songs on offer here
 
My longest track: DMX- A Minute For Your Son; 16:55;)
 
The longest track i have is the last one on Jay-z's blueprint album (forgot what its called) and it's around 12 minutes.
 
The longest track I know that I have would be a song by Santana on his Supernatural cd called "The Calling". It is over 13 minutes long and features mostly guitar riffs and some singing. I suppose you could include Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon as the longest track I have since you can't tell where one song ends or begins without changing the song. Same goes for The Wall.

Ah, Stereolab. Good stuff. I have an Earth CD single from Sub Pop in the early 90's of one heavy droning guitar riff for 35+ minutes. I think it's called 'Extra-Capsular Extraction' and it's got Kurt playing guitar.

The only long song I can stand is NOFX's Decline.....those old songs scare me. I live in an apartment and some asshole woke me up to some lame ass Doors song that just had this repetitive garbage in it.
