I thought you wanted something sporty? Those cars are going be all loud, give a lot of tire smoke, and be quick as long as the road doesn't turn suddenly, but sporty it's something I would call them.

Hey, that's a good, solid car. Sporty? Not yet, but, at least, It's cheaper to make it faster than with a 240SX...

partly because it's so slow to begin with...

and Partly because almost every suspension piece will interchange with the Corolla of the same generation. It'll keep you out of trouble 'till you do.

No, not RWD, But when it's given suspension bits to rival it's hot hatch cousin, the Corolla FX, well....it go quick.

Oh, yeah, you'll need to find a 4A-GE to make it really quick. On second thought...

Forget what I said. This has all the go-fast stuff already installed. 4A-GE, suspension, etc. and It's cheap, because people think it's a crappy Geo. Trouble is finding a GSi, although it's easier than finding the rarer-than-Yenko Twin Cam Nova.

This, of course, is if you're willing to forgo your want of RWD.
