Checking out the us lobbies, and for "Racing for Real", I only found about 4 servers..:scared:

420 Honda friendly drag or kicks. TOTALLY COOL!

Your first problem is you looked at the US.................. They are easily brainwashed by MS billion dollars in marketing and don't play PS3 much there...... Everywhere else PS3 outsells 360 2:1.

Try pressing update list or whatever its called, it only shows a small amount of rooms without you pressing update.

Look for some Arab rooms and do some powersliding..

Look for some Honda Drag rooms and get shouted at..

Look for a cruise server where nobody has any taste in cars..

...I seriously don't get why there are so much drag racing rooms for hondas... there is over a thousand cars in GT5, yet ricers still roll around with Hondas.

Sometimes it takes me a while to god even 1. Plus my connection isn't great so i usually can't find any:( it's kind of disappointing.

The rooms make me lol.

JDM drags, FF ONLY, NO BS, 420 KUSH friendly, dirty NASCAR, etc.

I also dont understand the rooms titled enzo/viper/vette.

The modern GT5 community breed on fast cars out of their league.

PD needs to allow dynamic updating of the room, so you can change it. The description needs to be a bit longer too. It's not very thorough so you have to enter to see what is actually going on in there. There are usually loads of Nascar, Drag and stupidly high PP rooms around, none of which interest me, I stick to the 450-600PP range. That allows me to run a deluge of cars and I am a Sport Soft kind of guy, it offers the best kind of handling. Just above normal speed but with gradual grip loss of street tires, Sport tires are the way to go when running street cars, those racing tires are too temperamental for my liking and make no sense in low powered cars at all.

PD needs to implement stats on players and bring back license testing requirements. That way everyone can only play with people at their level. Hopefully in GT6. Because I do find good servers, atleast seemingly good. That is until I find that the other drivers are alot better, or the fact that the others cant drive for crap. If your stats are good, it's highly likely that you are a clean and serious racer. If bad, it's highly likely you are beginner, or a bad driver overall.

There's should be preset servers like seasonals made by PD. Or maybe "seanonal kits".

Lets say every month they release a batch, then you start a server, and you pick what server preset you want. Each have regulations and prizes. Or create your own.

I think a search function is what's really needed. Then the tags like "Race for Real" might mean something.

You'd also be able to find the 5 or so non RS rooms, and being able to find them might encourage people to not use RS all the time.

Well, ignorance at its highest level. If you would have been in the honda drag scene, you would see the complexity of drag tuning. What is a ricer, explain? Ricers are hardly drag tuned and raced with...i guess you need to educate yourself more, but oppps then again education is expensive in US.

You're right, the US education system really needs to teach us more about drag racing, car classes, and other such necessities to be successful in the real world and Gran Turismo.:dunce:

drag racing a ff make me giggle like a school girl. polishing turds (civics) makes me giggle even harder. but, to each their own.

there are good rooms out there.. sometimes you gotta look harder than other times. you'll develop a circle of 'friends' and it gets easier over time.

No, but overall education i guess. Everything isnt all black and white. A honda isnt a ricer just because its asian, or what ever. by the way, Its common for US people that think they know all best, simply because they are from US...

People love coining the term ricer to anyone who has a civic or or any type of honda or acura. I always thought a ricer was just someone who's car looks like a racer on the outside, but not really racing on the inside.

this is all you see anymore.. its sad..
Well, what does that tell you? To me, it tells me that PD didnt listen to drag racing fans...and that is the sad part. Just look at spec 2.0, did they say anything about drag racing, well no. So i guess the user generated drag rooms, will increase and increase, and you can do nothing about it.

Now, tell me the demand isnt there for drag racing...

Petty insult would work if I actually lived in the US, which I don't.

What ever...your post seem pretty imperialistic...

I dislike drag servers mostly because they are kind of pointless. It's all pretend at the moment. No cress, no countdown, no finish, no point. Still, it's coll when you see some good organization going on. Still it's annoying that there is no pay out or official score keeping..

I don't. I love asian cars personally. And again, I'm from the U.S
