Been playing Gran Turismo for a few years now and looking to join a race league/club/series. I use a GT driving force steering wheel can't drift with it (only with a controller). I usually finish 2.5 secs of the leaders in the time trails around the top 1000-3000 or higher when I try harder. When it comes to tuning I'm a complete novice, but thanks to those of you who share your tunes I'm starting to understand it a little.

Can any one recommend a league/club/series to join with others of the same racing ability. Looking for races approx 1hr long? (Had thought about the 2015 GTP endurance series, but think it's out of my league).

And does the G27 etc give you any extra advantage over the GT driving force?

Finally if you happen to be one of those kind people who share their tunes, many many thanks.

The G27 is a better quality wheel than the DFGT but won't likely make you any faster. Speed in GT comes from understanding car behaviour and understanding the gaming "tricks" that don't represent real car behaviour quite so accurately, and knowing how to best take advantage of them. That you can do with any wheel or even a DS3. The G27 is smoother and quieter than the DFGT and comes with a clutch and shifter and much higher quality pedals that can be upgraded with off the shelf parts. Makes for a much better driving experience.

I have to agree With Johnny on this one that the G27 is a much better wheel then the driving force GT but on that note if you're looking to invest in upgrading your wheel then perhaps Logitech is not The direction you should be heading as its life span does not look to to continue after the PS3 And GT6 on saying That thrustmaster would be the better choice if you want to continue gaming on the NexGen consoles And GT7 as it is the only one that the PS4 will work with as the G27 is affordable reliable with so many upgrades available it will not matter unless you jump over to PC racing only but if you're comparing the two that's the G27 in the thrustmaster T500RS first thing the price big difference between the two but the thrustmaster is even more smoother accurate The Force feedback is stronger And the pedal set is second to bests to fanatec V2

And when it comes to racing series such as the up and coming 2015 GTP endurance series which myself is competing in is not as hard as you might think it is as I did completed in the 2014 GTP endurance season scoring 3 podiums and a outright win at Spa 24 hour with consistency is the main target for events such as this but perhaps you can get a team together and and try in one of the lower categories of one of the events they are great fun and are run very well I would recommend for everyone to try a lease once so best of luck and here hopes the racing gods are smiling down on you because it's all about racing not driving isn't that right Johnny
