I advertised my old car on Autotrader and ebay twice with each. Ebay tends to end up with mentalists emailing you to offer stupid amounts of money for your car despite you leaving loads of info about how much you have set the reserve for etc. I ended up getting sick of having to insure it and sold it to a website. Might have more luck if you are down south as the cars I watched (similar to mine) went for more money than I wanted but I guess that's having more people looking and willing to travel a bit.
