I'm getting my license soon and i'm going to buy a car and I would appreciate suggestions. I need a car(used) that is preferably AWD(for winter), About $10k(can be less) and findable in Canada.

Volvo 240.
Myself
They are reliable, safe, good in snow. My uncle put 200K miles on his '92 before he really had to fix anything. They are also cheap as hell. Anywhere from $500 to $5,000.
Of course, any Volvo would do. Or Saab.
Alternatively, maybe an old Übaru Legacy or Outback Wagon.
Or Maybe a Dodge Caravan AWD.

lol who would want a van? except for the awsome turbocharged caravans and plymouth voyagers <8- D
you might want to look into mitsubishi GSXs, talon AWD TSis, and plymouth lasers (all DSMs). i don't know if the lasers were availiable with AWD though. they are generally easy to find and not expensive. parts are pretty much a dime a dozen too <8- )

^ Yup I agree, the Impreza is a good choice especially on where you live (Canada). (:

lol don't bother messing with that thing the last two guys talked about.....you want a subaru Justy! <;- P
no but really, you might want to look into the impreza 👍

If you are worried about getting through the snow you should get a truck or SUV. But honestly you don't need AWD for the snow, I live in Michigan were is snows quite a bit during the winter and I drive a RWD lowered truck, but I have good tires on it. I'm fine. All you need is good tires and decent driving sense and you are fine.

But since its your first car I will say the same to you as I do everyone else. Get something that is: slow, cheap to insure, cheap to fix when you crash (you will crash it), and easy on gas. You need a Civic or a Corolla.
