Hi,

I've been playing online for a little while now, but haven't come across anyone I'd like to befriend, and lobbies with the kind of regulations I favour seem to be very rare. I've made plenty of my own, but with very little attendance. I figured this place would be the best to meet people I could race with regularly.

I prefer road-legal cars, tuned to various PP levels, as I find this to be the most fun, and often the closest. I also enjoy single-car racing from the recommended garage. Either short sprint races, or longer enduros (1 hour +).

My tyre choices for each PP level:
400PP - comfort soft
450PP - comfort soft
500PP - sports hard
550PP - sports medium/soft
600PP - sports soft

I don't believe in aids beyond ABS. I like penalties off (because ghosting is both annoying and unrealistic, and we shouldn't even need penalties awarded automatically, we just slow down and give back position ourselves), and damage either light or heavy.

I'll say this: I'm actually pretty good. Quick, but ladylike. :) I race most evenings during the week, UK time. If we have all this in common, I'd love for you to let me add you on PSN.

All the best,

Amber x

Have a look on this thread... There are lots of good races both one offs & series. The bonus if you get involved in a series there are often pretty regular practice sessions too. If your free tonight Monday fun night run by the fun Racers group is good clean fun. I'd post a link but thats beyond me on my phone

I know your pain. It's really hard to find a good, clean room with moderate PP and tyre restriction. 99% of all rooms (in euro/aus territory) are either racing soft/unrestricted, drift or free run rooms, which I couldn't care less about. This is why I've started to run my own rooms usually at 450-550PP with no higher than sport soft tyres. If someone cuts the track or fails to use his brakes and uses other peoples cars as a brake instead, he gets the boot immiediately. No aids bar ABS allowed and the track is mostly Nordschleife, but I use other tracks as well. Or then I join friends who I have raced with and are hosting/racing in similar rooms. If I have a room up, it's in the evenings (Finland is GMT+2). Feel free to add me :).

BTW, have you tried shuffle racing? It's basically stock cars around 400P and comfort softs. With the right people it's a lot of fun. There's usually a room called "shuffle heads" or something along those lines and it's always a blast to race there. You also might want to check out SSCS. It's all about stock cars from the recommended garage with stock tyres.

@OP

This is my concern too! I've just started into the online world of GT5 and would like to find like-minded racers out there, but I haven't come across any who I say I'd want on my friendslist. I've put posts on here, the Official PlayStation formums and even on the Playfire forums, but I've had no takers! I even got stick for mentioning GT5! (I was asked if anyone still plays the game in a sarcastic way!)

Hope you check your post out and get this message, maybe we could work together to bring more like-minded GT players together and then form some online track days!?

Regards

Omnius I'll add you, we need to get this thing going

Oops, I've accidentally deleted your friends request, just came on here and saw it was 'you'

Not to worry I'll add you today when I fire up the PS3 :-)

Add me if you like i'm always down for some good clean fun racing

You should check out Legend of the Streets (See my signature). Your 500PP class machine with Sports Hard Tyres should fit just fine there. We aren't restricted by time zones as we work through dueling or 1 vs 1.

One car per driver, and no penalties but damage set to heavy. Check us out.

We have a battle rating to govern and to encourage the racers to be clean racers. So far, I think the racers are quite clean.

Also if you're pretty good, there's a racer in a yellow NSX there who hasn't lost one battle yet. Will you be the one to bring him down?
