Hi guys, Im a true respectful racer. I wouldnt mind damage to be maxed out.

my top fav is duels, egz German Audi Vs BMW Vs RUF Vs Mercedes etc.

Mostly i like the cars stock, but maybe some tweaks made trough suspension,

etc.

not a big fan to super racing cars like R10...

add me if you like to take a race for like M3 Vs ISF or feel free to think up an interesting duel :)

Hello

I am looking to get a few PSN friends in place for the new year, I will be racing between now and then but its pretty busy. I would like to run with like minded racers would dont track cut, smash others off the track or go a into the first corner totally out of control. I am not the greatest but have been racing for a long time and had plenty of good races but it sucks when you get those types on the track. I am 38 (in Canada) and as far as I am concerned age doesnt really matter as long as we race with some respect.

You are the type of racer that im looking for.

Im in, its difficult to have a clean race with everybody crashing in the first corner and ruin the other cars.

If you want to put damage, for me its ok.

I am looking for some fun clean races aswell. I just picked up myself a Sony Bluetooth to help communicate a little better, and I am really starting to get into the whole almost GT MMO thing, lol. Feel free to add me anyone!!

Hi guys, I stumbled on to this thread and agree with what you are saying. I am an avid Sim racer even at my age of 52 :) I have played most every game there is but not all of them. Now I stick to iRacing for various reasons. The biggest reason is what all you guys are looking for, "clean racing" I raced GT5 and got level 40 in both disciplines. I raced with a bunch of friends and when we had the right group it was so much fun.

The problems of course were when 1 or 2 idiots would join us and dive bombs and general carnage was applied from them :D GT5 does not punish poor driving but iRacing does. They call them incidents, if you go off of the track you get an incident against you. If you hit someone you get an incident against you and so does the guy you hit.

There are 2 different rattings that are effected by your driving which I won't get into ATM. As well there is a license that you need to drive certain cars, starting off as a Rookie and moving up to a D,C,B,A, PRO. This does not happen over night although there is a fast track system where you move up rapidly. Poor driving and you drop back as well.

iRacing is not for everyone but if you are a serious sim racer and are very disciplined then you probably will do good. Don't be mistaken though, iRacing does have it's problems but it is the best sim racer on the planet.

Been looking for some action lately (getting a bit dull dealing with all the stumbling idiots out there).

I try to be a fast, clean racer (taps and bumps do happen). The last time I had some great racing was back when Spa came out...got a hold of a lobby that quickly turned into some tense 450-600pp battles. My god that was fun :drool:. I'd pay to do it again.

I wouldn't be so quick to think it's an add for iRacing. Most of the people in this thread are looking for one thing, good clean racing. As one member mentioned there will still be bumps and minor collisions, that is racing no matter what you race.

As I mentioned iRacing holds each driver accountable, none of this ramming BS that you see in GT5. when you guys get tired of searching for a good clean race check out iRacing and see if it's for you. They offer rookie deals of 1 and 3 month.

Sorry, but McLaren's right. All you're doing on a GT5 thread is plugging iRacing.

It is possible to have clean races in GT5 though, and I still do week on week. To be fair, it is part of a league, but that league didn't start until a group of clean racers decided it would be a fun idea. I'm at the point when I basically turn on the PS3 if there's a scheduled race and turn on the PC if there isn't. The online world of GT is far too much of a scramble to provide consistent clean and fun racing 24/7, but there is some real gems out there. For Australians, keep an eye out for a room hosted by GT5BOYCEY (I think that's how you spell it), very organized and sparklingly clean. Hopefully the random room recklessness will eventually be repaired by update or sequel, but who knows...

Believe me I put in many hours on GT5, it is what it is. My point was if you want good clean racing go to iRacing. If you want to race with mostly immature potty mouths stay at GT5, end of story.

League racing aside, anywhere there is league it will be fun, GT5 included.
