Loosing tunes and upgrades?

i built up an el camino and when i go back to run it again all of the upgrades i purchased are gone?

i have only had this happen to a couple of cars and wonder if it is something i am doing wrong?

I know it can happen if you exit the game/turn off the console before leaving the track, always make sure you go back to the gt6 main menu where it auto saves (also check you have auto save on perhaps?).

@DolHaus is right and another thing is if you add your parts and exit the game, but don't drive it, the game does not feel this action requires an auto save.

Whilst I'll admit it's a little while since I slipped my GT6 disk into the PS3, I found that if you got booted/disconnected from a lobby that you would lose all changes you'd made to a car. This was the same, I seem to remember, in GT5...

I don't think anything has changed CyKosis1973, I pretty much stopped online use for this very reason combined with the fact that I was getting booted about every 10-15 minutes.

Before I quit the game I always press the start button and save manually. It's the only failsafe way to make sure you don't lose your progress. I learnt this from some other games that didn't count an autosave as permanent.
