Losing HP? Why?

I built up my Z28 to 695 hp. I noticed as the game went on, it would lower, I would change the oil and it would go back to 695, but now it is at 681 hp. I have 570 miles on the car.

This time trial thing I heard of, just beat some times and get free cars?

Has anyone here played with suspension to make the cars leave harder for a 400 M or a 1000 M run?

The engines drop off HP as they age - pretty much right at the age you mention.

I think if you beat all of the time trials (or complete arcade mode including the time trials, I forget) you win the Panoz Esperante.

With RWD and 4WD cars try run the rear a little softer in the springs so that the weight transfers to the rear at lauch. This will increase weight on the rear tyres and therefore increase traction.

Good luck!

Thanks, that is what I was thinking but I drag race cars and around 500 miles they actually start to make more power.

So how does someone get the car to peak power? Do you simply just buy another of the same car and mod it all over again?

I can't comment on the power loss in real life - certainly every motor I've run in on the road was more powerful at 1000km than at 300km.

The power loss stops at a certain level and stays constant from there - but if you want to go back to maximum grunt you'd need to buy another one.

I have several cars which clocked much more than 500 or 700 kilometers and not many of them have degraded by means of Hp.

Only my Escudo lost some (from 1881 Hp to 1861 Hp and it stood their permanently) because I raced her three times in a row with the autopilot in the Super Speedway without changing oil, running on the red light for 200 laps in that track.

I'd suggest you change oil at the very beginning of each series and between singles. And what I do is to change oil as soon as a series is over so I will not forget later on.

Hope this helps a bit...

Thanks guys.

I know with my Camaro I got a best of 240mph on a straight away. I have done all hp mod's available, weight reduction, basically every mod you can. What parameters can you change to get more top end with the car. I have it the gearing just right for going 240 at redline in 6th.
