I don't know about you but every month that passes makes me wonder if GT5 is just over, no Spec 3, no more updates, no more DLC...

2.06 update left the game worse than it was before in many aspects and I can't believe that 3 months have passed and there's no intention from PD to fix their own mess, usually they fix them quickly, but 2.07 did nothing.

Do you still believe in Spec 3?

I've honestly lost the interest in GT5.

If PD plans on releasing GT6 for PS4, then I would at least expect that we recieve a massive Spec III update to keep us busy. But something that changes the game completely, including A-Spec, other in-game features and new DLC. That would be the only reason why I would expect a Spec III update.

If GT6 is released on the PS3, then no. I don't expect a Spec III.

Can't comment on the 'Spec 3.0' bit... as for the DLC:

Yamauchi-san: Yes, we are preparing new DLC content for GT5. Despite it being a long time since GT5′s release, we have received a lot of fan messages asking about new DLC content. And that display of continued interest is something very important to us.

Pretty sure when Mitch said 'I thought it was confirmed by Kaz?' he meant that development of GT5 had pretty ended and they'd moved onto 6, not that he'd confirmed Spec 3. Because he certainly hasn't said anything about such a thing.

Lol, I had to do a double-take to see who you were talking to. My real name is Mitch.

To my knowledge, Spec 3 has not been confirmed. If it is going to happen, I'd expect it to be well after the Academy prizes are awarded, perhaps even after Academy wraps up.

The only reason there's talk of a Spec 3 is because Prologue got it.

I highly doubt we'll get a Spec III, and to be honest I don't think we really need it. GT5 is nearing the end of its life as the main GT game, and if GT6 is released in the next year or so then PD won't have the manpower to work on two games at once.

Spec III was never confirmed, but DLC is coming. Besides, GT5 has to "end" at certain point. It's not a PC sim that constantly evolves, and it's not Forza to have DLC every month, no matter how much you try to make yourself believe that. There are still plenty of people playing GT5 and those who love it will likely continue to do so.

Everyone here expects the updates to completely fix GT, but it's not going to happen. And a couple of DLC cars or a track will make the game fresh for a week and then it's back to usual. The more time passes the more I think the whole updates and DLC thing was a mistake (except for bringing more money for PD and Sony). I look forward to the meltdown when PD rolls out the final update and people finally realize that that GT5 will not be what it could (should) have been and there are no updates that can fix that. Enjoy the game if you still can, if you can't go play something else and wait for GT6.

But what about fixing what 2.06 brought? I can't play the game anymore, it freezes when it's loading a track, I get the muted sound bug twice a day when in online lobbies, my car still gets drowned by oponent cars.

I know the won't fix the engine sound for example, but the things mentioned above weren't a problem before 2.06, PD won't finish the game but at least leave it working properly.

It's like they decided to end it with 2.06, like they were forcing us to stop playing and get into GT Academy, I think thats BS, I decide when to stop playing it, not when the developer decides to introduce a game-breaking bug and force you to download it or you can't simply play online.

Does anybody here know a way to downgrade my game?, so I can play with older versions of it, like 2.03

They haven't replace my da*n DLC code and they have been babbling about SPEC III, unbelievable...

No one has babbled about spec 3.

I play every day and never get freezes anymore. I had way more problems a few months ago.

Spec ||| may happen, if gt6 is years off ten KAZ will need to update the game to make us anticipate it more, y'know. Few more dlc and free stuff.

This:tup: I got bored so much on GT5, no new stuff thats free so everyone can enjoy the game.

I find threads like this vaguely amusing.

I've been playing GT5 basically non-stop from release. It is a disappointing game and I don't deny that I was disappointed with it, but I still really like it. I don't even race online that much; I just love to try out new cars and drive around.

I hope there will be a Spec III but please no physics change! I don't really care for any more DLC either. Let's leave all that for GT6. Spec III should be more aimed at using the content we do have in a better manner (like more racing events).
