I see my nice Lotus 111R '04 street car sitting in my garage with no roof on it. Am I able to drive it with the roof of like that, because I have onl seen it top up so far?

I doubt it. The Miata/s, Cappuccino, and a few others in the dealership are shown with the top down, but they revert to having the top up when you drive them. In Photo Travel, you can take pictures of them the way they are, though I'm not sure if you can put the top up.

That's what I had figured, just making sure I wasn't missing something. Bummer to, the car loils really sharp with the roof of. PD should put something in the garage part or the body/chassis set up part that let's me choose roof up or down.

The Ferrari California does allow you to have the roof up, only if you installed a rear spoiler on it ;)

Unfortunatley no, you can't. In GT4 though, there was an option to have the roof down or the roof up (but if you had the roof down there would only be 1 other AI as opposed to 5 other AI). I don't know why they took this awesome feature out!

More work on modelling the cars and it'll be pushing the PS3's limits even further. The extra detail of the interior has to be visible at all times. Right now, the detail is really low during gameplay viewing it from the outside. The California goes the extra mile by doing this.

More work on modelling? Not true as the cars are modeled in both versions - the convertibles drive with top up, show in menus and photo travel with top down, and even the California shows his roof closed when a wing is installed. So, everything is modeled, except the roof closing/opening, which could be avoided by choosing the top up or down before going on track.

This. So, since the California is possible to use with top down (not mentioning the standard cars that drive with roof down like the Chrysler Prowler or Caterham Seven) why aren't the others enabled?

It's simply not understandable why PD left this feature out. Only legit reasons would be lack of development time, but since the release they have added so much to the game... why not this? If it's too much work for them to model how the roof gets opened or closed there should at least be a setting in the tuning or driving options where you select "Top up" or "Top down"...
