Any one got any good settings for the lotus?
I got the bronze with the default settings.
Just wondered if anyone has tinkered to find a better balance.

I managed a 1:29.5 with the default settings before I started tweaking, then was consistently about 0.5s faster and did manage a 1:28.8 with my new setup. Basically all I did was lower the ride height and reduce the anti-roll bars to allow the car to settle into the corner better, pretty noticeable difference for me.

Give it a try.

Drive Monza like Jackie explains here (though he is talking about Monaco I think this really applies to this era of car in general), this is how I drove the car to gold as best that I could manage.

This is my lap

Very nice. I found a settings file on another forum. I am doing 1.32 constant but the guy that did it claimed 1.28.5. I have downloaded a corner analyser so i can see my differences but i am still driving modern style so it will take a while but i will get there.

Racing on this track is scary. It's no wonder so many pilots lost their lives back then... unreal. You can also catch a glimpse of the old oval track I think, which is pretty darn awesome.

Ya. I got the old banked track in rfactor2. I remember watching a film of the early f1 years. It was called formula 1: the killer years i think. Maybe its on you tube now but i got it on my hard disc. Marshals throwing cement dust on oil spills. Hell. Health and safety would go mental today about that.
But i must admit that so far this is all i have done in the game and Jim Clarks time is safe at the moment. But i will get there.

The movie Grand Prix has some great On-Board footage of Monza from that era.
Pretty impressive filming considering they did that back in the 60s.

Thanks buddy, I didn't know about that film. The documentary "1" that came out late 2013 also has some breath taking footage from the days of yore. It focuses precisely on the evolution of the safety of the sport and the lives of those lost. It's a gem. :)

Here are some youtube links of Grand Prix movie Monza footage:

Full movie has great on-board of 60s Monaco, Spa, and other tracks.

Got them all in the collection. Well worth watching.
I think I should turn off the track guideline, as I seem to be using different lines and going slightly faster.
Oh well, work tomorrow so won't be able to try again until next weekend.
