Yup that's correct.. i blew it and ended up 6th.

I noticed that lag by the way wzwzjk, all of the sudden you were just spinning.

Pretty decent race. Might have caught Dax if I hadn't got tangled up behind Willie.

After my pitstop I was 13 seconds behind and by the time I caught Willie it was 7. Ho hum, pleased with 2nd though. :D
 
At least we got 20 team points carby :) could have been so much moooore :(

you were 13 behind after pit stop? weren't we 10 ahead of the stop? really lost time in there..

Yup- it's because 2 people pit right after us and the AI has to slow to a stop if someone's pulling into their pit box- still my plan to get some air away from you worked. :D

It's because I couldn't find a way past Willie. Otherwise I would probably been safe until my tyres wore out. :nervous:



Speaking of which: Discussion up in the stewards
 
You really struggled with your tires in the end of the first stint, big slides a couple of times, but every time your car ended up right in front of me and i had to slam the brakes not to crash..

Yup, I don't know why though as I was fine 2nd stint- I think it was because I was braking too late due to the fact that you could brake much later. :indiff:

And thank you for not wiping me out. :)
 
I did touch you a couple of times because i wasn't ready for the early braking but i always lifted after that because didn't think it would be fair passing even with a tiny touch in the behind. I wan't clean passes :D

Sorry I was braking as late as I could- any later and the back locks. :nervous:

But it doesn't make me any slower as you get great exits. :D
 
:P it was funny how you started signaling with your lights, telling me to calm down. I was trying.. at the same time as i was trying to pass.. but we kept a pretty decent pace together even with the small touches didn't we?

I was just using the light to try to get you to match my braking point- so we didn't keep touching- but I was fine with it as you didn't spin me out and carry on or anything.

Ermm..... I think we were running 1'05s and low 1'04s which meant Dax got away but we weren't really being caught. My problem was I couldn't get a good rhythm going as I was trying to defend from you and kept sliding. :(
 
yeah daxie was getting away a bit.. but then after a while we actually caught some again didn't we? felt like it.. or maybe i'm just confused, gotta watch the replay ^^ anyway, it was most important to keep away from those behind, too bad we messed up in the pit.. (or that everyone pitted at the same time)

Yeah, that meant that Willie was a couple of seconds up the road when he was nowhere before the stop. :scared: But It did mean I could get away from you- but then Carb was right with us and Willie was too so..... Maybe we should have pit the lap before. 💡

And I don't think we caught until I got some clean air- after the stop- I hammered in consistent mid 1'04s. :D
 
i had a period of consistant mid 04s aswell just don't remember when that was ^^ in quali i don't think i did a lap above 1:05 :P well ok until the tires was shot because dax went out and quali got loong..
 
I was lifting off for a while... Was no point of me hotlapping towards the end as I had about 9 seconds on you.

You gained from 11 to 9 in 1 lap as I had a bit of a moment.

Sorry for the contact marunda, at lap 33-34 was it ?

I use the bumper cam, so it can get quit hard to see if someone is right next to me, i have to change cam 2 times. But thats no excuse why i hit you, and you lost 3 places, is totally my fault. ( I heard a very long honk after so i knew it was not to good :lol:)

Of course i did not do it on purpose, like Pepsi did slam in me at lap 2, people make mistakes & hopefully learn from them :)


But great race guys, really a tough battle for the 2nd place. I was surprised that i overtook 4 guys in the pit, but i guess the pit glitch was affected :crazy:

Last couple of laps i could follow marunda with no problems, and overtook him a last corner on lap 40. But the second last corner on the final lap, i went to deep and marunda overhauled me, but overall glad for my 3rd place, but should have been a 2nd place, if i havent lost it in that corner :rolleyes:

Thanks for apologising.

And likewise I could stay ahead of you ok, but then overcooked one of the hairpins- can't remember which on the penultimate or last lap as I was too busy looking behind me. :scared:

My tires had the best taken out of them when I was trying to pass you so, no matter how hard I pushed, I could only maintain the gap.

Just finished my other race series, glad to know its worked out between you guys.
First part of race was mad, failed to consider I was on cold tires and had the rear lock on me.
Lost some time in the pits I think, but Carbon was a surprise, he was really strong in the later part of the race compared to at first.
Great job from him to catch back up to the train of cars in front!
 
great job indeed from carb, very much helped from the fighting though.. didn't drive fast while with three of us fighting for second ^^
 
I'm pleasantly surprised at Chamonix. If people continue complaining about it, I just might have the chance to snatch the much needed spoils :sly::sly:

Rally and snow.. should feel like home for a swede like me shouldn't it? feels like i have something to live up to in the next race.

i need a really strong second part of the season ^^ this car really doesn't suit me since i always spin (have spun at least once in every race so far..) but i'll master it soon, just so my dear carbon won't be sad he chose me as a team mate ;)

Don't worry, I also suck in sensitive cars like this, but with the return of the Japanese Classics, we both could get better ;)
