Hello just wanted to say i adore the new update, the reason is, in the begineer sports car races , i totally love racing all the punters who bash and bump and cut the first set of chicanes and also the last set of chicanes , also the mob that cut the grass under the bridge, i try my hardest to stay on the black stuff and keep out of the kitty litter and try not to bump, i find it very satisfying to come in say in top 6 with all the cheating going on then look at the lap times and realise i am fairly quick, the cheaters really are fun to watch. as they jossle for position, and they hate it when i whizz past becuase i have traction and momentum, form hitting apexs right i love it.

give me a real thrill to know that maybe coming six i am first of the non cheaters every time, i have won a couple and sooner or later i think PD will just log the cheaters actions and at the end of the race just disqualify the cheaters.

it makes me giggle everytime i see them all rush across the grass hinking they are quicker only to watch me whizz by at proper racing speed

coming out of the apex.

keep up the good work, the more punters and cheaters there are the more fun i have realising actually i am bloody good and can beat with out cheating

Thank you for all the input on 'the new update'. Lots of useful info I was totally unaware of...

i enjoi passing the punters as well, not gonna lie.i just really hater the fact that they use you as a brake and ther isnt really much that you can do about it. i enjoi playing the game and trying to make a faster lap then just tryin to keep the car on the road from everybody running into us.

Yes very useful. Just a shame that both other posters seem to be missing the shift key on their keyboard. Some proper punctuation and capitalisation wouldn't go amiss. Makes for easier reading for those of us whose primary language is not English.

AMG.

Now that's a new one....:indiff:

spyrrari.

yup its funny the punters feel the need on the beginners suzaka, to cut the first chicane, then the both corners by using all the grass before the bridge and then the top chicane is a straight line, if you can get in the top 6 easily by staying on the track you are the fastest there, the rest are cheating, quite funny really,
i love watching them cheat to beat me
lol

yea, it can be quite entertaining when there's a carnage going on :)

though I do think they should give cheaters/punters a server of their own :p

yup i enjoy the punters what all the idiots don't realize is people that enjoy the game and play fairly and "drive" are actually very subtly, and slowly honing, not there lap times, but their race craft to deal with the idiots out front swerving, i have had many a corner taking a Karting racing line to out fox a cheater and i can just imagine their face when you whizz by and cant work out why,
If you spend a day racing the "punters sports car suzaka" in a variity of cars by the end of the day your actually car control and race craft is improved no end from having to thread yur self around all these people who are cutting corners and coming onto the race track in weird and wonderfull places, you find the sweet spot on the braking points and they all out brake each other sideways watching you take the corner from an odd racing line.

it makes you very skilled. lol

one thing i would like to see is an addition to the final score and time table at the end, is your finishing position and your starting position and maybe a DQ or time in red if you are straightening chicanes.
so you can see how far you have moved from your start spot relative to others and who is cheating...

I think you need to brush up your English grammar, mate.

I think most people will agree they enjoy beating the cheaters, but I think a whole lot more people will say they would rather have no cheaters and punters in the first place.
We are here because we enjoy racing (or driving) not because we like to think of ourselves as superior beings.

From the forum AUP:
"No slang words that promote laziness, ie; “r”, “u”, “plz”, etc. will be tolerated. Decent grammar is expected, including proper usage of capital letters. Repeated violations will be grounds for suspension and/or permanent removal from the forums."

superior beings eh? now what makes you think that english is my first language??? and to be honest i think i would rather read about GT5P than grammar.

i don't pretend to be the brightest with grammar or the best driver and i surely don't look down my nose at bad grammar, life is to short.
to be honest as well if i get banned form the forum, will it really make me feel upset , no i don't think so . when you have been playing GT since the first day GT1 was launched reading a bit of bad grammar on a forum is not a big deal, i wont even say anything about you, but i was playing GT1 before forums on the tinter-web like this existed. ha ha ha

P.s i just looking at your page you were 8 years old when i was first playing GT1 on the PS1.

i remember the very first time me and friends over some beers were discussing the merits of toe in or toe out, or camber or roll bar settings, like a lot of people on here, and like a lot of people in the Motor-sport industry, ( yes i have paid my dues i have worked for a top F1 team) and did season 2002 and 2003 world formula one championship season, as a member of race team personal. we are not all academics, we enjoy and have a love of racing first ,

No not superior beings at all, but as a site we do (as with life in general) have rules. The AUP quite clearly covers this, it has already been quoted to you and please keep in mind that you agreed to follow it when you joined as a member.

Members with English as a second language is exactly why we ask for descent grammar and spelling, along with banning the use of 'text' speak. They are normally the members who struggle the most when posts are not written in a descent manner.

Yes we do have a far stricter policy in this area that the vast majority of the web, and we see the benefits.

Quite simply these are the house rules, you can either chose to follow they, as every member here does, or you can chose to leave. Currently that is a decision you make, however ignore those rules and it will be made for you.

On a related matter, can I ask that you use the edit function if you need to add to a post and no-one has yet posted after you. Again double posting is not permitted here.

Thanks

Lambiepie,

Hey don't take the grammar thing the wrong way. You of all people know of the crowd that GT attracts. No one is trying to yell at you, but I think AP could have worded it a bit more neutral. It actually does keep the forum clean.

I just started playing online, and I cant imagine how you people played without the new patch. Is the GHOSTING new? When someone tries to brake into you? Because that really is the best feature I've seen in online racing. Its not quite perfect, but you can tell polyphony is working hard on making the online RACING part work. I'd rather them get the bugs worked out now, THEN deliver the private races.

In general I feel like everyone with a Clio is always going to spin out on the first turn. And yes, there is nothing like finishing amongst all of the cheaters because you actually earned that lap with your driving skills.

and? I don't see what age has to do with anything.
I was not personally attacking you, but if you choose to take it that way, fine. I'm not going to get into a petty argument, I was just warning you that you were breaking the AUP.

i am Sorry ill log out now and go on reading the forum from time to time, but you know what i dont think ill bother trying to give some input into what is a very broad and big subject.....................................................................................ciao ciao

Wouldn't it be so much nicer to hone your skills against 12-16 other players all trying to hone thier skills also? racing against the mob doesn't really give you a bench mark on which to improve....but...having said that, if you're having fun then that's cool, that's what it's all about after all.

Well this thread has now become an exercise in pointlessness.
