How about no?
A track day costs more than a new PS3, a track DAY.
Not to mention the car.
We should be talking at at least about 50.000 euros (if we're talking about track days).
But if you want to race...then get at least 500.000 euros.
Conclusion? GT5 sim is a lot cheaper.
you can buy a kit car and attend track days for less than 14.000 dollars.
That's a damn
car - one that's fast around a track and fun to drive - for less than 14.000 dollars, with money left for track days.
Either that, or a gaming setup. I know what I'd take.
And even though a track day will likely cost you more than a PS3, this setup does not cost what a PS3 does, so it's completely irrelevant.
Conclusion? GT5 sim cost as much as buying an entire car and taking it to a track, and even more if it's a very cheap car.
And what do you get? Either a real life experience, or a damn gaming setup.
Doesn't necessarily need to have a luxurious atmosphere in order to call something luxurious. Can be based on value as well, and amount of comfort. And according to the price tag attached to it & the items included..
So you're saying that in order to call something luxurious, it doesn't need to be luxurious? That makes no sense.
Luxury doesn't equal a high price tag. You wouldn't call a Gumpert luxurious, even though it's expensive.
This setup isn't luxurious, it's just expensive for what it is. There's no leather, no marble floor, no titanuim wheel, no nothing.
All this is, is standard consumer electronics put together in one system. It's all made of the same cheap plastic our TVs and remotes are made of. Nothing luxurious about it.
