Yes you can, I did after the first couple of races as my HP had gone up.

I noticed in one of the time trials my Evo jumped up by around 5-10bhp even before I had started racing.. Seemed slightly odd to me.. but, that's just GT5

You're talking about online seasonal events, right? Maybe this is true after the update but when it happened to me 2 nights ago my experience was similar to trk29:

There is a flaw and I don't like it. You can not even pick the car with the garage button if your car doesn't meet specs. It won't even let you see what cars you have qualify.

So it is says to use the Subaru bbs 2010 it is not showing as a available car if the weight and hp don't match. With 1000 cars this is you need all the help you can get picking the right one.

Again, It's not a huge issue but I can see how people get annoyed.

Ah I see, you have to set it to the right level before you enter but if it goes up after a race and it won't let you re-race, you can go into the settings and adjust as needed.

If it won't let you enter in the first place, when you select garage from the message that tells you that your car is inelligible, you can't see it, but on the seasonals menu where you select the event, there is a garage button in the bottom right hand corner, clicking this will bring up your full garage so you can select your car and alter the HP/PP/weight etc. No need to go back out of the seasonals and back to your garage 👍

The HP gain issue happened to me before the update so I can't speak for 1.10

👍 Thanks, I'm at work away from my PS3 so I wasn't able to test it. Like I said, it's not a big deal but HP gain does get in the way from re-racing quickly.

The trick to beating these new seasonals is don't ever exit the race if you don't win, just restart cause that extra HP gain makes it able for you to win, after you keep restarting the race your car HP will have gone up 6 or more HP, if you quit you trigger the game to check regulations again therefore losing your advantage.

I added a new ECU to my Fiat and then turned the HP down. Despite the limit being 65 it allowed me to use 66. Can't say it made much of a difference though.

I can confirm that you receive cr. if hp/pp gain happens during the race. You are only disqualified from restarting a race. After pressing OK you can enter settings and detune from the race menu. Although this was a slight hassle before the update it's a non-issue now.

ANd yes . It's premium
