Michael either has super sticky tyres that won't last the race, or is fueled light. Or a mix or the two, either way I don't think he'll win. He'll either get 2nd or 3rd.

ms might get 7th. that would be lucky. jensen would be lucky to get into the points as well. i think jpm will do good.

i really want to see sato at least somewhere next year even if its not bar.

i think Ferrari may be quite truthful about the tyres, I reckon Schumi's not excessively light or on overly soft tyres, notice that the Minardi's and Jordans have been quite closer to the pace of the teams directly ahead of them

I think MS has got to be running light, and if he gets away at the start, he'll finish high up, but I don't see him winning.

If JPM gets ahead of MS at the start, then Schumi's race is screwed. Given that, what are the chances of a first corner coming together between JPM & MS?

EDIT: The reason behind BAR's non-tobacco sponsorship is here

14 laps of fuel for Schumi is pretty impressive given his quali time. Raikkonen only had 10 laps of fuel, so even if he had run without the ~1 second penalty for running first, he'd still have been slightly behind Schumi with 4 laps less fuel.

That was a very ugly start!

Alonso down to 14th. Bah. In a car not running well, on a track that is difficult to pass. Bah.

JPM is in first and on a two stop schedule. I think he'll come in first so long his tires hold out.

Schumacher is second and doing well, but their talking about the condition of his tires. Maybe Bridgesone still have problems.

You can't say this race hasn't been exciting so far.

Oh god i hope Kimi's car stays in one piece. He deserves to win. Look what he is doing now. He is way faster than anyone.
Besides,it would be good for the championship seeing as Alonso is unlikely to score any points.

hey look the merc choked again 👎 JPM had a great run going again, what a shame.
Why is it every failure McLaren gets is attributed to Mercedes? Mercedes didn't make the driveshaft that failed.

Congrats to Raikkonen. He deserved to get this one. The gap's down now to 26 points between Alonso and Raikkonen, so although it's still hugely in Alonso's favour, things are looking a bit more competitive.

Good drive from Schumacher, the tyres made it through to the end in decent shape and he wasn't that light on the fuel.

Woo! Go Kimi! The championship points look a whole lotta different now. Kimi was absolutely flying on the track. Shame for Montoya, he was running a good race. McLaren has some serious reliability issues.

What a havoc there was in the first two laps. I kinda hoped to see a Alonso vs. Kimi duel, but I'm good with the way it is :D

That was a very, very ugly race. Renault finished with no points. Fisi did his usually support for the team. 👎

Six races remaining, and next up Turkey where nobody has tested for. Oh boy. I can't wait. I'm going to bed.

fair enough. the point is the car failed and cost one of the drivers a win again, no reason they cant fix the issues and sacrafice a bit of speed for reliability as they are clearly the class of the field this year.

as for the race i was definately surprised to see the ferrari hold its pace as i thought along with others they were running very light just for the sake of the pole. williams looked much improved aswell coming away with 6th and 7th. and toyota basically replaced renault this week.

this obviously tightens the points up a bit, but its stil lgoing to take a major meltdown for kimi to even get to alonso.

all i care about is that bar both placed in the points. i'm not to happy about williams doing well they should have both screwed up and i think jensen should have had 4th but all in all it was a good race.

I think it is kinda like British cars and Lucas electrics.

I did not watch the race and looking at the results, it kinda looks like I may have missed something. Oh well, there is no way I was going to be able to wake up in two and a half hours at 6:30 after going to bed at 4:00 in the morning.

yeah you missed some good racing. a lot of action happend at the begining. it was better then i'm sure some thought it would be given the track.

I would have liked to watch the race, but there was no way I could have stayed awake with only two hours of sleep.

I guess he lives in the States or Australia. The race is aired early in the morning over there.

if the race started at 6:30am he lives on the east coast. it started at 5:30am here. the gp2 race that is i watched that to. it was good. the f1 race didnt start till 6:30am here.

woah. I made the mistake of thinking I could watch qualifying at 4am and then watch the race at 7.

I was kind of sleeping throughout most of the race. shame. I thought I heard that JPM pooped out and then I don't really remember a damn thing. oh well.

edit: WOW! Ralf got 3rd? over Jarno, even? wow. How were the brothers there on the podium? lol.

Great great race. One of the best thus far of the season. The Kimi/Schumi battle in the first half was wonderful to watch. Too bad Schumi's tires gave up at the end. otherwise it would have been sorta close.

Great for Kimi. I hope he can keep it up and take thr title!

Toyota? What the was that? Where did that pace come from? Good driver on Ralf and Turlli, even with his destroyed diffuser. I hope this is a sign of things to come with decent car development.

Great race!

ralfe should have had ms. he just gave up cause it was his older bro. jensen should have an trulli but he was taking it easy. sato should have had webber but he was taking it easy. i'm sick of driver taking it easy. that damn engine rule i hate almost as much as i hate the tire rule.

Yeesh!! Unlucky Red Bull, Klien said he didnt realise anything when it happened in an interview...

Klien, you had a barrol roll mate.

Couthard was amazingly unlucky to have ran over the debria from Alonso, could of been one of 7 cars.

Toyata where amazingly competitive aswell, geese was not expecting that... nicely ran race for Ralf for a change.

BAR chose the wrong tires!!! :ouch: could so easially have seen a 3 way dog fight for 2nd....

MS done well to keep Kimi behind for so long once again though all the over taking took place in the pits

JPM was considerably unlucky aswell, unless he just felt like copying Kimi, might bring him a championship one day...

In the end it was a good race, one of the better ones from hungary anyways.... now a 3 week break, what am i gonna do with no F1!? :nervous:

Congrats to Sato for picking up his first point by the way.

The races start at 7:30am Eastern time and 6:30 Central Time. I would be in the Central Time category. The GP2 race starts an hour before the F1 coverage. There was just no way I could have woken up before 6:30 having gone to bed at 4:00 in the morning.

Man, Hungary is a track where it is almost impossible to pass, F1 cars are very difficult to pass, it's not like you can pass whenever you want. I mean look at kimi, you think he was taking it easy in the first part of the race? It's just so hard to pass.

I thought it was a good race, interestinjg first lap and a good result in terms of the championship. And Toyota, wow, that was really impressive and I hope they can hold that form for the next few races.

I would like to see Toyota to always be consistently good. They are probably the one team that I would have to say would be my team if I were to have one.

YAY KIMI

why is mclaren always having technical problems. It was kimi and now its montoya. Mclaren has some of the best drivers but their cars cant hold up. waht a shame.

And yes, i do hope Toyota continues to do well and i wanna see more races where renault scores little or no points. (sorry, i'm not a renault fan, dont hate me for this). If renaults slow down and Mclaren picks up the pace in the end of the season, then Kimi should win.

Kimi deserves this championship because he is a good driver and if it wasnt for the mechanical failures with mcalren, he would probably be ahead of Alonso as of now

Alonso deserves his wins, too. If his car had more pace/tires at the end of the races, it would be undisputed.

Good for Kimi, good for McLaren, good for Ferrari, too. Ferrari has even more of an end-race tire problem than Renault, so any podium they get is a well-fought win.

And Ron dennis has said that they're not sacrificing pace for reliability.
