Personally I want a B-Spec fast forward button

They won't add one because in GT5 all races are done in real time, nothing can simulated by the computer. Next update will be more focused on the replay system. What I'm waiting for is for them to let us take our B-Spec drivers online and race our friends in real time instead of on a browser. In my opinion they should scrap the browser idea because thy are basically asking us to keep our ps3 on when we arn't even using it.

Yup. I was going to do B-Spec but all my drivers are shared online and you can't use them while they are being shared. So I can't even level up my Bspec level because of this flaw. Oh well, might as well go to bed then.

My first thought when the server maintenance thing popped up was they are fixing the Birthday Car issue somehow. But, who knows! I am definitely looking forward to the replay controls though.

It is 5 am for me so most people would be sleeping in this part of the world so it would be an ideal time to take the servers down for maintenance. Jeez, need to wake up at 9 am, why is GT5 so addicting?

Okay, I just merged two topics together since they were about the same thing. The purpose of the GT5 Q&A subforum is for questions and answers. Given how fresh the original thread was, it was very likely at the top of the subforum when the duplicate was created. I might be able to understand if they were created within a minute of each other, but there was a good five minutes between them. So please, use your eyes and the search function - chances are, your question will be answered for you before you create your own thread.

Im glad that these do a patch very quick on this game unlike the Smackdown vs Raw 2011 they have been working on a patch for 2-3 months lol

They should give us a heads up and not just shut down the servers randomly.


I hope they give us director mode replay back, along with fast forward B-spec.

Fast forward is not even needed in the game. I certianly hope the guys at PD are able to sort through the things people keep saying the game needs and correctly pick out the ones it really needs.

Things such as Credits and XP in online races, leaderboards, Adjustable trannys that are actually adjustable, Ability to use are created courses in a real race with our friends and so on. FF on B-Spec is so far down the list I can not see it from here.

In my opinion those things you have listed should be even further down the list of fixes...there are far more important things than online leaderboards that need attention.

Such as?

Everyone has an opinion but I believe the Online Credits and XP should be at the top of the list. This is very important.

I also believe that leaderboards are very important. There are lots of very unhappy hot lappers out there at the moment. A good set of leaderboards would make a lot of people happy.

i'm trying to look on the bright side too here.
Thanks to all the complaining people we'll get a fully upgraded and patched game, in the end.

They're probably just prepping for the Dec 20 patch.

I expect the patch to fix some minor gameplay issues (tire wear & rain tires come to mind) but it will be mainly focused towards online. Online is the future of all gaming franchises. Remember when COD became more focused towards online? Sales exploded (became the #1 PS3 game!). That's where we're headed.

Anyway it was a maintenance issue not an update.. they were taking information from the server etc. not modifying it. if there were to be new additions to the current GT5 an update would be issued i think they will look into some things like the online credits and leaderboards. Thats the one thing this game's rival has over it (Forza) even though it's on another console. The addition of a much smoother racing Bob would be fantastic!!!. and replay fast forward and rewind controls would be great. Trying to get a snap of flames crom the exhaust is mere impossible in photo mode!.

I expect the same, and while true about the money/sales being in the online gameplay, they still have to fix some things in the offline part. I don't see why we can't pick a time of day and such for arcade/practice races for example. And it wouldn't hurt if Bob was just slightly more intelligent. So tired of seeing him just banging into the rear end of another car instead of going around the car to overtake, or braking while going down straights when the only thing he's doing is going straight.

I would take more A-spec events over everything you listed anyday. I also desperately want leaderboards so we can compare lap times against all the players out there. But if I had my choice, I would take more A-spec events over everything else.
