So I was in a lobby with a friend and sometime after we had this track running, we noticed large parts of track textures were missing. I thought it was a very rare problem but this has happened to me earlier in a a full lobby. Has anyone else experienced this before?

Happens at many tracks. Your PS4 didn't load the textures for some reason. Used to be quite common at Nur 24hr in GT5.

I've seen this before on a couple of tracks. My PS3 is still alive, and this was long before RBR came out.. I wouldn't worry.

I've had the track disappear before at the nurb and I've had it turn blue/white like that, but I've never seen it clip into the cockpit like that.
Hopefully it's just teething trouble with the new track and nothing too serious

I seen this at Ascari about 2 months ago. I haven't seen it again until yesterday at Red Bull Ring.

This also happens on Silverstone GP, it started back in 1.07, didn't recall it happen in 1.06. Only happen when returning to track menu after exiting from track driving. The texture can be seen being loaded with wireframe getting build up with textures, looks cool but also weird  Don't happen on other tracks though.

It has happened to me since I bought the digital copy of the game (ver. under 1.06, I can't recall which one)... Most of the time it's on the full Nurb and Silverstone... Not happening so far on any other track... So far my thoughts are my PS3 is dying (it's 7 months old super slim model, so it's to early for that to happen) or my HDD has problems, serious one...

I discovered last night that the game wasn't throwing up the pit menu for me to change tyres, it was just driving me straight through, and kicking me out the other end, even though my rears were completely shredded

This. I've had this happening throughout GT5 and GT6, with many many hard resets due to either the GT games or the web browser locking up the console, but it's still chugging along 5 years later.

I've had this occur on Matterhorn a couple of times. There must be a texture streaming issue that occurs occasionally.

I've had this issue when I was using the PS3 in poorly ventilated areas, I changed it to a bigger room and I've never had the problem again

This...

Has happened to me from time to time, like once every few months and I play everyday.
Also did it with GT5 so I wouldn't stress too much
160gb fat about 5 years old. :p

And Silverstone is such a big track, because it's in America.
It's not the 80s and 90s anymore. America isn't all about big and fat. He was just kidding around and it was nearly a compliment as well...even if it is in Austria.

It doesn't make sense to make fun of our country, being that he did not make fun of yours and basically paid the Germans a compliment. Innacurate joke or not.

Tell an Austrian that they're German and see how happy they'll be.

I've had that happen quite a lot and for quite a while now. Particularly on the newer circuits like Mt Panorama and Silverstone.

In fact, in a few of the later Aspec events (the "endurance" races I think), I was doing a lot of the circuit by the track map and memory as it just wouldn't draw the circuit quickly enough.

Even now, the new TT on the Nurburgring with the Lexus, every fifth or sixth restart, it fails to draw most of the beginning of the circuit, so I've usually gone off track at the first or second corner after the start line (it's hard to aim for a corner or avoid a barrier when you can't see it).

It even happened in the VW TT at Madrid. All I could see were a few buildings and the distant skyline of the city where the road should be.

I figured it was just the game being a bit "too much" for the PS3 to handle.

Cheers,
Amateur1.

Happens to me too, normally when exiting off the track to the screen with start/replay/options/tunnig etc, for a couple of seconds the track and surroundings load in.
Never happened whilst driving though.

I've got the disk version and it works fine!!!!
Sometimes you may need a reboot or a tune up on your PS3 Internet connection to fix it and it might be ok.
