It's Lost Genoan day or something over here, so some people will have the day off.
 
Hmm, last week was full of fast lists so I'm thinking of running some more sedate ones. Likely Historic or Retro, Legends, and the old Low Power or the newer Limbo Stick.

If people want a race or two in faster things we might run the Track Day Specials as well.

I'll open a room up a little before the usual time, which is of course:

I'm very happy that I was able to join the first race on Road America. :) It was really fun to race online again after months of absence. It proved that I'm missing racing against you guys.

The photo finish against tacom08 and the very close win left me pretty astonished and satisfied. Actually I'm a bit rusty so I ascribe that to the home game effect as I probably knew the track a bit better than you fellow racers. ;)

It's great to hear that my creation of Road America was well received in Makeshift Shuffle Club. :cheers:
 
CLUB TIME TRIALS FOR HOMEMADE TRACKS

I'll make up some more Time Trials with homemade tracks if anyone's interested in giving some proposals for which tracks, restrictions, cars, etc. :)

Please SEND PRIVATE CONVERSATION to me.
(This way it definitely won't get lost in the shuffle of this thread.)

Be sure to give me the name and the creator, and tell me where I can find it (ie: on yours or someone else's profile).

You can suggest someone else's track or your own.
And I ask that you include tracks that you've:
1) tested and like
2) think could make good race tracks for shuffle races

If you have a particular suggestion for restrictions: tires, length of time, etc., let me know.
Otherwise I'll put the restrictions on default of sports medium to cover all our cars, and set the time limit to 5 minutes for tracks 2.5 miles & under, and I'll add a minute for every extra half mile, and an extra minute for tracks that the map looks particularly complex.
I might not have the chance to test drive the track myself before creating the time trial so it's IMPORTANT to specify a time limit if you know the lap time is more excessive because it's very squiggly!!

There's no deadline for submissions.
However, we have a limit to the amount of time trials. So I'm putting them all at 3 weeks. And it'll be first come, first served, unless I get 2+ people suggesting the same track, and that will bump it up in the queue.

You're welcome! Well, buying the cars and changing oil is surely a pain in the rear, but it's worth the effort! If you want to save work, you could try to buy only the first 8 cars of each list, makes for 24 cars... or every second car of each list. :)

No pun intended! :D As we assign cars based on previous race finish (for example if you finish 3rd you take car #3 for the next race), and our rooms are sadly only half full nowadays, you'll probably only need the first 8 cars. If you buy every second car, you can use the next best match too, for example if you finish 3rd but only have cars #2 and #4, you can use #2.

Oh, great! I'll buy the first eight for now. I so much would like if the races could start two hours earlier... With actual start time I don't think I can complete all of them. :grumpy:
