So... following racers, I need your picks.
FYI: Specify day/series that you want it included in. (IE: the next Tuesday Series, or the next Sunday Series.), so if you expect to be attending a different series more in future, that's okay. 👍

@tarnheld
One (1) car list & track combo for a Parity Race (long track or heavy damage variety).
One (1) car list & track combo for a standard shuffle mixer race.

@Chiochan
Two (2) car list & track combos for shuffle mixer races.

@temuster
One (1) car list & track combo for a shuffle mixer race.

Prize Picks Explained
*note that the race director defers picks downward, silver becomes gold pick winner, etc.

APPEND ADDITIONAL NOTE ABOUT PARITY ASSIGNMENTS

The new parity car assignments have been updated.

However, because 3 drivers do NOT have 3 races yet for a proper car assignment, until they have 3 races recorded in the parity assignment spreadsheet, they will continue in their Parity Car Assignment from the last race, until such time they have 3 recorded races.

The following 3 racers will have assignments for Sunday's parity races thus if they do not compete in Thursday or Friday's Shuffle Mixers:

@snowgt
Unless you compete in Thursday's or Friday's sessions, you will remain in car assignment #5 for the parity races on Sunday.

@Patrick8308
Unless you compete in Thursday's or Friday's sessions, you will remain in car assignment #8 for the parity races on Sunday.

spraggy0558
Unless you compete in Thursday's or Friday's sessions, you will remain in car assignment #8 for the parity races on Sunday.

Practicing for your driver's license test? :P

I failed to factor the draft into my braking for the first chicane, and used my regular braking point which was, ah, slightly insufficient. :dopey: Making it into the corner would have caused some sort of accident, so I bailed out and slipped through the barriers, knowing it would cost me at least one or two positions. So it did, and also lost me the draft of the leaders.

By the way, I must say that's one sexy black paint, I really like that reduced gloss finish.

Heyyyy, 5th place -- considering I missed the first round, I'm pretty pleased with that!

Also, :cheers: for the overall victory, WM!

:confused: That's somebody else, my land barge was matte black with gold 525Ns. :)

Every once in a while, GT6 still produces shots that make me think 'daaang, that's a fine-ass lookin' game.' Particularly nice shot right here!

edit: missing full stops.

Clearly there were too many SSRs in the race at Cote DAzur on Tuesday, for me to keep track. :lol:

But yeah, I found that in the tunnel there, the cool & warm filters really work nicely to make an interesting picture. :)

COOL:

019-jpg.300017

WARM: This is miniature I THINK

c%C3%B4te-dazur_4-jpg.300166

EDIT: That's miniature... But it's similar to warm, and I've used warm in the tunnel too.

Thing is, Sepia only works nicely on certain tracks.
It's lovely at Grand Valley... but kinda crappy at Cote D'Azur.

Dirt tracks are on the rotation now? Obviously I haven't been paying close attention. :dunce:

I'll be sitting any dirt and snow races out, the G27 makes running on dirt and snow a really unpleasant experience. 👍

There's been some interest expressed by a few racers in the dirt/snow tracks making the rotation.
So I myself was planning on inserting one here & there.

I like the idea of variety... even when it seems a bit silly to some.
(ie: SSR7 , Kart Space, etc)

Like I said, I don't mind if they're there! I'll just be sitting in the lobby watching if we run any. The G27 sounds like it's going to explode when I run the dirt/snow tracks, and having already repaired one broken optical encoder on my wheel, I'd rather avoid taking it to bits again. :D

Yay, prizes! :D Love this club! 👍

Snow is not as unpleasant as Dirt, found the latest Seasonal at Chammonix great fun. The rattle stuff is a little annoying, but not as pronounced.

Unsure about the Parity pick; I'm thinking 'bout the Legends @ Chammonix ... or 90's @ Ascari ...

For the Shuffle i pick:

Vintage @ Streets of Willow, preferably at 19:00, when the sun sets!

EDIT: i run G27 with FF force = 5, FF sens. = 10

It got worse after the FFB update, and no adjustment on the settings makes much difference to me. The rattling and banging was always unpleasant, but after the update it became simply unbearable (for me). :yuck::yuck::yuck: I refuse to do dirt and snow anymore, barring seasonals, where I'll do the bare minimum to get gold and my paint chip. :cheers:

Didn't really fiddle much with the FF settings, but i will try out on snow/dirt, need to do that Toskana Seasonal anyways. :ouch: I am determined to do it with the Stratos, because rally car.:crazy: :cool:

When do i have to submit to the Parity event?

Someone else said something similar here:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/a-g27-question.317723/#post-10119492

Well for obvious reasons the long/heavy-damage won't be at dirt/snow tracks.

The parity race session will be as follows:

Race #1: ? laps @ (long track, damage light, mandatory pit) (15-20 min)
Race #2: ? laps @ (sprint, damage heavy, mandatory pit) (10-15 min) <--- dirt/snow possible
Race #3: ? laps @ (longer race, heavy damage, mandatory pit) (Approx 30 min)

I would like the picks to be submitted by the weekend, but the parity pick is not such a rush, because it's not soon.
And if someone's late submitting their pick, it'll just be saved for a session not yet planned, that's all. So no pressure.

EDIT:
YOu can also specify, remember, which day/series you want your pick applied to.
And you're not going to lose your pick. You can even save it.
Example: You cant race the next 2 Tuesdays, but you'll be racing again on Sunday's next series, event #2... Save it for that.
(I will record the picks in Post #3, and they will be crossed off as they're scheduled/raced, and noted if they're being "held".)

The prizes do not have to be some strict adherence to a rule of law. It's all good fun. :cheers:

I'm also looking at other reasons to give prizes. (Suggestions?)
Example: Having to drive the same car 3 times in one session can get you a combo pick prize.

EDIT:

This is what I'm looking at for the next series (general format)...

Series X -- Event 1

Race #1: X laps @
Race #2: X laps @
Race #3: X laps @
Race #4: X laps @
Race #5: X laps @ (heavy damage)
Bonus Race: X laps @

Series X -- Event 2

Race #1: X laps @
Race #2: X laps @
Race #3: X laps @
Race #4: X laps @
Race #5: X laps @
Race #6: X laps @ (long track)
Bonus Race: X laps @

Series X -- Event 3

Race #1: X laps @ (long track, damage light)
Race #2: X laps @ (sprint, damage heavy)
Race #3: X laps @ (longer race, heavy damage)
Bonus Race: X laps @

long track = longer than 4.5 miles
(But more likely to refer to say Nurb24hrs, Sarthe, Sierra. You get the picture.)

I had some time today in between sitting on hold in a call queue, and then waiting for the Comcast guy to come.
So in other news... new equipment, new set up, better speed, fingers crossed.

I will not be attending tonight, as I am not feeling my best. Woke up at 3 am with an upset stomach and still am not feeling great.
