Today I had my second day at 'school' for getting my taxi-licenses.

During one of the breaks I talked with another fan of GranTurismo and he hates the fact we don't get a new Vision GT car and the known tire bug that's so anoying.

Then, on my way home I thought : "It's very hard to making contact with PD and Kazanouri through Twitter, FB or old fashion email, would it be a good idea to make a video message with the most important points why 'we' (the fans) are losing our patience?" Something haves to change or GT7 will be the last one of a game-changing series, +15 years later it could be the worst reality for us.

There are many GT-enthusiastics with great video-skills, photo skills and maybe also skills to translate our message to the Japanese language. This video could go 'viral' on game & playstation websites all around the world. They can't ignore it, Sony doesn't, so PD don't either.

My first thoughts of important points to change first or an answer why they didn't fixed it already?

- Several bugs had to be fixed to make online-racing good again, like the tire and camber bugs.

- Promised features like online community and matchmaking ??

- Vision GT car's, when do we get the next one...two....three (etc etc)

- More communication with the fans or press to get hight of the progression they make.

I agree this would be a good way to try to reach him directly. Most big names who have videos posted about them, at the very least, have a rebuttal video to address the person making the claims. If we were to have a very respected and outspoken representative of GTP to make the video with our points spoken, there's a good chance the video will have high view numbers and be very hard for Kaz to ignore.

To the point the OP has already mentioned, I really want the course maker, livery editor, and b-spec topics to be covered as well.

Stop it, you.. :sly: And then there is the problem of translation.

GTPlanet haves many fans from all over the world. I don't know how many from England, USA and other countries where the English translation is involved over their own language, like we have in The Netherlands. And I think we, GT Planet, would have our own 'Translator-san' to convert all the important points into the Japanese language and reach PD & Kazanouri !

Edit:

There must be a way to talk about several points, with respect and awareness of what PD already done for us, but also an import message that they are going to far and losing us. If this is going on this way, I really believe GT7 would be the last game from PD, they can't going on like this.

its 2014 - the only way to get a corporation to respond lightning fast is to blow up twitter... i had a great customer service experience with HP and put it on twitter and it was all over... i had a bad experience with Wells Fargo and WF jumped on it in a HEARTBEAT... until people take their brand compliants to where it could hurt them some... there is no VIDEO spaking that will be as effective... strategic tweets to sony / pd / creative #s that will be seen and retweeted by the masses - i dont see a video being any harder to delete than an email or a letter... probably would be easier....

Khm, I have to surprise you: Kazunori understands English very well and he also speaks it. However, his personal decision is to speak onlyJapanese because of various reasons.

Also, 99% of Polyphony employees speaks English.

Language "barrier" is there because of other reasons that have been talked about on GTP for years.

Reaching a PD is a nice idea, but you should also know that Kazunori himself visits GTP as well as other members of PD that are obligated to visit it on the regular bases and track various feebacks and such. Same obligation is imposed to all regional GT Brand Managers in various SCE outlets who also have to track official GT forum on PS forums and their regional/national GT communities.

So, if there is something you really want to communicate, GTP is a pretty good place to do so.

Crossing fingers, @Jordan could(/should) help whole community by gently asking for fix on some biggest problems/bugs like pitstop bug and camber/tire flex bug.
Or just ask directly from PD what they are planing to do those bugs?

You are right ! But Twitter can't translate our passion into 140 characters. A video, made by a bunch of GT-fans and Japanese subs or Japanese language and English subs, could get more attention from Playstation blogs, GT-fan hubs, gaming-bloggers. Twitter is too specific I think. A YT-video with a good story and message could hit Sony & PD so many more people/times. They can't ignore that.

Probably, you are right. But if you do, why didn't they fix the camber/tire bug? Why do we have to wait for the next VGT so long ? This video-message could be a pressure-thing to get more attention and hopefully they would communicate better in the near future. They deserve the time to develop GT7, but we deserve an explanation for waiting so long.

Oh, and the language barrier, I know Kazanouri understands English, as many others from PD. But I think it's a matter of respect, sympathy and empathy for their work so many years to make the series better. I know it's not arrogance from Kaz or other people behind PD, but it's to pragmatic sometimes in making their own decisions and not following the wishes of their crowd.

would be very strange if PD didnt know all our opinions by now.
...and i mean since gt5...
i'm more concerned why they dont say anything, communicate a litle more with fans. share their point of views.

WE CARE, LET US PLAY

To me this post just puts PD in a more negative light than they already are, If they have vistited this site in the last 6 weeks then they would know that the biggest demand here is comunication but they choose to turn a blind eye to these demands which are not unreasonable by any stretch of the imagination.

EDIT: Not to mention they still ignore implementing all of the simple choice of options requested on gtp, A clear sign they do not value their customers, I expect they come here just to check for what bugs have popped up or hacks.

As I know we are all complaining now over and over again. I think it's most important to stay calm (oh no not that meme again) and just number the import points and make a video with a huge respect for PD, but also with the message to communicate with their fanbase a (little) bit more and work on GT6 before they release a date for GT7 on ps4.

If they don't do that, they will loose a large amount of fans. We need PD, PD needs us. That's my thought of making a message/video and helping each other.

I like your idea, and your thoughts on making a respectful video to get Kaz and PD's attention. Don't let it be anything like @cassiusclay99 the way he tweeted to Yoshida, way too much rage in there IMO. Just to share ailttle tip with you, be sure your message in the video is professional, if you do make one. Creators love professional feedback, haha. :)👍

Thank you to share the same thoughts, it's exactly my vision it only could work. With mutual respect for PD and PD for their fans a video-message is IMO the way to open their eyes and work 'together' and make GranTurismo a series that can easily survive the ps4 and ps5. But they need listen and communicate with the world outside more then they do now.
But I can't make the video. I'm just the light bulb (💡) with this idea. My English is poor, no talent for making great in-game video's or clips and also my Japanese won't go further then counting from 0 tot 10.

They already know all of your concerns, they just don't care. Kaz only cares for your money to be able to make games for himself and his racing career, It looks like he wants to be a car designer too.

Do you have some evidence of that? Just curious.

I'd be very pleased if Kaz himself send some kudos to the community.

Video is a great way to get more people aware of the problems of Gran Turismo. Even thought PD is aware of what is going on here, GTPlanet audience is kind of limited to a hardcore fan/user base (and PD knows it).

If a video is top on Youtube searches related to Gran Turismo, there is a greater chance the casual gamers will pick it up while searching for the usual tips/tutorials and this way complaints will have a broader impact. Companies move their asses when issues get out of hand. While the problem is restricted to a small percentage of users complaining, they keep doing their business as usual.

TIPS: It should be not very long, well balanced (not just crying about no porsche/laferrari) and with a funny or casual approach so its not boring. There should be visual examples of the bugs, and the most important ones coming first.

I so hope that is true (see here).

:)

Do you think they dont know about that already?
You think you can enlighten them and tell what they have to do even though they already know?
Serious question.

Does PD have a email?
I mean, what now? A video?
If that doesnt work as you wish next step is what a message on the moon?
If they wanted to communicate they would. And if they are forced to communicate without really wanting it then it still will be no good answers. I want true communication where they really care
to answer questions and concerns.
If not we need to accept by now that this is the way they like to play it. So buy the game and concept or change game is my recommendation. A video of good other games that would work for GT players is welcome :)

@TokoTurismo
Tx for your support mate. I only got an answer from the most powerful man of the Playstation business. Sorry.
I made honest and sincere points on what's wrong with GT, IMO.
Now we know the very boss of Sony got the message... no obscure hope that maybe one day, someone from PD will read this or that, or might give us some news on GTPlanet.
You may dislike my method, but the message was sent and recieved.
What did you do?

Regarding the video idea... I think a twitter campaign with a good hashtag wiuld be more efficient. We should send it to every SOny executive ala #NoDRM raid.
Just my opinion though.

Hey everyone, I totally agree that we need our voices heard from PD. If PD's GT series dies from lack of interest from the majority of players it would be a huge tragedy for Kaz. I made a youtube video talking about GT and where they could improve the game to attract more players, some may think the video is abit boring but I did raise important questions and suggested good features for a game I think fans would really love and enjoy.

This video is the first time I recorded myself talking on a mic to myself...lol, which can be difficult especially without a script. I was feeling nervous but hopefully I will have a better grip on my nerves in future videos because I want to start making talk and drive videos where I am talking about car physics in different sims.

My Introduction

Part 1 - This video is 20 mins long and I was parked stationary for more than half the video, so I would suggest if you want to listen to listen to it in the background while doing something else so I wont bore you to death.

Part 2

Part 3

Sorry but it's way too long and booring, as you predicted.

I think a video message could be 5 minutes long. A snap of time in your daily routine. Well produced with some music, examples in GT (not ETS) and no discussions about pc versus console. Japan has a very own unique culture, we can hardly understand and imagine. Honour, success and failing are very important subjects and telling PD that they don't do their work as promised, is a stab beneath the belt.

We have to motivate them we, the fans, are on the same line. 'Work' together with more communication and mutual respect is the way to save the GT series froma possible painfull death. Twitter is a nice medium and could work well, but to specific for only users of Twitter. A well produced vid-message could be shared on FB, twitter, YT and many other gaming websites or fansites of Playstation and GranTurismo.

The message would also telling our passion for this series, with only a catchy hashtag people will go moaning and complaining again, from my point of view not respectfull for all those years that they made this series for us. You can't tell this in 140 characters. I know how powerfull twitter could be, but it's to short and bitchy to get the right message there at PD HQ.
