Sorry but it's way too long and booring, as you predicted.

I think a video message could be 5 minutes long. A snap of time in your daily routine. Well produced with some music, examples in GT (not ETS) and no discussions about pc versus console. Japan has a very own unique culture, we can hardly understand and imagine. Honour, success and failing are very important subjects and telling PD that they don't do their work as promised, is a stab beneath the belt.

We have to motivate them we, the fans, are on the same line. 'Work' together with more communication and mutual respect is the way to save the GT series froma possible painfull death. Twitter is a nice medium and could work well, but to specific for only users of Twitter. A well produced vid-message could be shared on FB, twitter, YT and many other gaming websites or fansites of Playstation and GranTurismo.

The message would also telling our passion for this series, with only a catchy hashtag people will go moaning and complaining again, from my point of view not respectfull for all those years that they made this series for us. You can't tell this in 140 characters. I know how powerfull twitter could be, but it's to short and bitchy to get the right message there at PD HQ.

the tweet is not supposed to explain everything but just to state that we, fans, are unsatisfied and angry. If we make enough noise, they will have to react.

Again, I think PD knows every problem we might raise. The problem is they don't care... we need to force them to care by going out publicly.

There is no video that will be better than InsideSimRacing video review btw. Spot on on everything.

No way !! Anger and disappointed is an emotion. Starting a 'converstation' with PD this way would end... with your video. No respect for all those years we played the game and where thankfull for great additions to the game? No. You start wining and backstabbing Kaz ? Great fan you are !

You won't reach the goal to make gt better. PD will ignore your video and will continue their own way. That's the thing to change ! That's why we need to conversate with PD on a propiate, calm and respectfull way to thank PD for al of these years playing GT, but that they are playing high stakes now to be busy with G7 instead of making GT6 better or communicate to the world why GT6 is a mess ? This al can be packed in a very calm video and without emotion, but with lots of passion.

Anger isn't neccesary

Well... i have to disagree with you.

I, as a costumer, and as a fan, feel completely disrespected by PD. I think it's time to just say how we FEEL. Not a cold list of what's wrong in GT (reviews and this forum are FULL of this).

So yes: I think there are sane angers.

Do you REALLY think PD is not aware of these problems?

Edit: I m not saying we should insult them ok? Just speak sincerely without feeling like we owe them more respect than they owe us. We pay their bills.

And a lot of passion is not emotion? I am confused....

I think it is completely fine to be angry upset and dissappointed in a video. Why should one hide his/her true feelings. Everyone expresses differently. Sometimes it can be very good to be angry so that the other side wakes up! Being angry is something different that being insulting!

This world today excists of a lot of blablabla and just no action! If action is taken, action will follow. Most of the fans who want to make something clear to PD/Sony are trying to get a message across while wearing silk gloves! That doesn't work! Gran Turismo is business and if they made a turd they made a turd. Nothing wrong with being direct and skipping the bull5h1t.

Gran Turismo is not made and created with "charity". There is a billion dollar company behind. All those manufactures are not doing anything for free! It's an illusion. In the end the all want to gain or make a profit. To keep a fanbase and to keep customers comming back for your product you have to improve over the previous stuff and you have to keep good and clear communication. In PD's case they are both not there so they will loose customers who want to buy their stuff.

Try to treat one of your customers they way PD does and I am sure your customer will go look somewhere else!

Okay, I can agree with that. But what will happen if the message is too angry ? Too complaining ? Offcourse passion is also an emotion, but a lot better to understand and 'someone' to cooperate with.

They throw a couple of DLC's in the near future and that's it ! "So we made them happy again, back to business"

That's not what I'm aiming for. I think there should be a message, could have a serious sound of disappointness in it, but cold and not to personal. The work PD always did, haves to change, or they won't survive the next-gen era. Then it will be GT7 and it's over then. It's not only about GT6, it's about the whole working philosophy at PD HQ that needs a change, otherwise they make the same mistakes again after GT7 is released.

The video message is not asking for more communication, bug fixing and DLC alone. It's a message they need to look to their selfs. Notabout tomorrow, but its about the next 10 years. That's why I think anger and wining isn't the right recepy for this message.

Well Yukino, I agree with your post but correct me if I am wrong, Sony is PD's boss. It's up to them to straighten out their "employee".

Yes what you say, they won't survive the next-gen era. If it has to be like that, it's like that. The talented staff will be welcomed by other studios.

If GT Planet would make a strong statement on the frontpage it "could" have some impact. But I wonder if GT Planet is daring to put it's business on risk for the better. Probably not. So in the end it will be single customers who express their dissappointment which isn't going to change anything for the franchise.

* A positive remark for this community is that members are allowed to say a lot of things. Even the negative side can be discussed openly! Appreciate that!

Yep even when listening to it myself it felt boring in the first video (not to mention how weird it felt listening to myself for the first time). I should have kept them 10 mins each maybe, but because I wasn't talking from a script I just wanted to keep talking about what was on my mind.

I'm pretty sure GT would quickly take the crown again if they implement the changes that I suggest in those video's. I would lay my life on it, that sales will boost back up and the community would be  and :sly: and not 🤬 or   :boggled: :banghead:

P.S. I'm still learning how to record stuff, new to it all but want to have some video's with music, easily done but i'm pretty sure there could be licensing issue's when playing them. I should go read up on whats allowed and what's not on YT.

* EDIT *

Both of you have a point but the question is, how do we get the message across without PD getting upset or thinking that we are ungrateful?

There isn't really any dialect going on with us and PD.

Khm, I have to surprise you: Kazunori understands English very well and he also speaks it. However, his personal decision is to speak onlyJapanese because of various reasons.

Also, 99% of Polyphony employees speaks English.

Language "barrier" is there because of other reasons that have been talked about on GTP for years.

Reaching a PD is a nice idea, but you should also know that Kazunori himself visits GTP as well as other members of PD that are obligated to visit it on the regular bases and track various feebacks and such. Same obligation is imposed to all regional GT Brand Managers in various SCE outlets who also have to track official GT forum on PS forums and their regional/national GT communities.

So, if there is something you really want to communicate, GTP is a pretty good place to do so.

GTPlanet has become a real mess. I wish them good luck !

it's all writen at gtplanet already, PD has read some threads for sure. they know all our points of view.

maibe if there were an award for games with more caring fans ... GT is great

Thank you to share the same thoughts, it's exactly my vision it only could work. With mutual respect for PD and PD for their fans a video-message is IMO the way to open their eyes and work 'together' and make GranTurismo a series that can easily survive the ps4 and ps5. But they need listen and communicate with the world outside more then they do now.
But I can't make the video. I'm just the light bulb (💡) with this idea. My English is poor, no talent for making great in-game video's or clips and also my Japanese won't go further then counting from 0 tot 10.
Ohhh, I see. O.O Okay. 👍 Also, I think your english is good, you've written really well. :)
@TokoTurismo
Tx for your support mate. I only got an answer from the most powerful man of the Playstation business. Sorry.
I made honest and sincere points on what's wrong with GT, IMO.
Now we know the very boss of Sony got the message... no obscure hope that maybe one day, someone from PD will read this or that, or might give us some news on GTPlanet.
You may dislike my method, but the message was sent and recieved.
What did you do?

Regarding the video idea... I think a twitter campaign with a good hashtag wiuld be more efficient. We should send it to every SOny executive ala #NoDRM raid.
Just my opinion though.
Oh no, I don't dislike it at all. I just thought it came off alittle aggressive, but at the same time, you did a good job showing how fustrated you were to Yoshida, and hopes he understands it. I honestly respect for what you did. Just thought, again, came off alittle aggressive.

Oups! Sorry then... I feel a bit defensive lately on this board. Wonder why.

I hope so, seen many opinions here, think it could work out very well.

Which skills do you have? Making video-clips with GT6 (capture card?). Or something else ?

I can record edit and upload - how ever if you want I can cal my friend who has a 12,000 sub channel (GT related) and see if he's interested.

Wow, that would be an awesome start !!

As I said earlier, I'm just the 💡 with this idea. I have no skills that could make or improve the video. So it's all up to others. I wish I could do something, but the film needs a professional touch.

I think it's important to make a short, serious film about the things we miss in #GT6 and as far others agree with me, the main reason is to change direction of PD and more cooperation/communication to the fans and listening to our needs. It's 2014 and they can't do their own job anymore. They have done an awesome job for +15 years, but they need to change for another 15 years or it could be over after gt7. And working on gt7 now till gt6 isn't ready at all, is a bad sign from the eyes of the fans. On this point we won't buy gt7 !!

Without being angry and being cold with facts and 'vision' gt could die after gt7, I think we could get their attention !
