Any tips on making my own setups, wanna make my own because some of the ones on the internet are absolutely crap.

Play around with numbers, see how tuning different settings effects your car. Begin with unconventional numbers (like camber 10.0 10.0 or LSD 60 60 60) and from there, you can begin to fix those numbers until a point you see fit. You should also read the tuning guides in the tuning section to get a better idea.
You are right, you shouldn't just follow 100% the settings on the internet but it wouldn't be a bad idea to see how those tunes work and see how your tunes work and continue trying to improve your turn until it bests fit your driving style.

Best tip I could give would be to pick pretty basic car - And read a Set up guide (Scaff did a very complete one for GT4 I believe)

Then test you car and tweak bits - understand how each bit of tinkering effects the car.

I had a Cheat sheet for set ups... Basically what would happen if you increased or decreased each setting.

I'd really recommend reading Scaff's set up guide and understanding in your own head why putting shocks with more jounce at the back will give just the right amount of oversteer for a sunday afternoon drive.

Yeah, how you tune your cars really depends on your driving style and the course you are driving on. The only thing I've found that is universal is that the LSD acceleration setting affects how easily the car turns (or doesn't turn) under power, and the LSD decel setting affects how easily the car turns (or does not turn) under braking. That's all I can say for sure regardless of the car, and all the other settings seem to be debatable depending on who you ask. Downforce provides a tradeoff between handling and speed. Transmission ratios provide a tradeoff between acceleration and top speed, camber settings provide a tradeoff between cornering grip and accel/braking grip, etc etc. Half the satisfaction of playing GT5 is figuring out how all these settings affect any particular car, then getting the right combination among all the settings to end up with a perfect tune for that car. Enjoy!

Well guys ill try to come up with something, cheers for the tips, ill share the setup if i think its anygood

First of all, try the tuning forum.
There you can find lots of tuning garages that have tunes for just about every car.
Many garages also have "how to" sections.
Some also have guides for tuning.
