It's a little bug. What're you all afraid of?

I could step on it and kill it easily. You can do the same.

Actually, I think those guys in the camo are representatives from Oscar Mier looking for new sources of protein to put in their hot dogs. Mmmm.

Not if our shoe size is below US 16 or something. *lol* *jk*

@GTJugend: I'm sorry! Accept my apologies.

It's really not that big, like somebody already mentioned. The people holding it made it look bigger than it really is.

We have Black Widow spiders here in SoCal. We used to hunt for them during the summer. A friends dad got bit by one. He didn't die, and I don't think most people die from BW bites, but he did get sick. I woder what would happen if you got bit by one of those?

Now I feel guilty almost ****ting myself when I saw a 1 inch brown spider. It was pretty big compared to the spiders I have seen in the past.

🤬 A... Thanks... good thing I saw the title as my slow ass modem loaded the pic. :irked: I didn't feel like going to sleep anytime soon anyway.

I'm not cared of spiders. But that one is HUGE! :scared:

My friend was doing some reserch on these spiders, and he found out that they are actully 5cm Big, and they can run 10Mp/h. But I don't really beleve the part about them being able to eat people limbs off, because if they did, why havnt any of those army guys got any missing limbs?

Noooo, they are freakin' biiig and they make screaming sounds when they run after you with 25 miles per hour! ;__; Don't take away the illusion for the thread's sake! T__T :D

Darin and I are having the stupidest AIM convos ever, I swear:

PowerHouse086: haha
PowerHouse086: Camel spiders can grow to be as large as dinner plates.
PowerHouse086: OH HELL NO!
PowerHouse086: Camel spiders can traverse desert sand at speeds up to 25 MPH, making screaming noises as they run.

PowerHouse086: haha
PowerHouse086: *Squish* Kknniieeccchhhhiiiieee

Man, this is hideous! *rofl*

Any way you look at it, it's about 4000 times bigger than I can handle. I harbor a well documented fear of spiders, and you almost cost me a laptop.

Wife spilled her drink because I let out a scream in the living room, when I opened this thread. Nothing on earth needs more than 4 legs, and they certainly don't need to be that big.

I should change the thread title to "Warning! Big frickin, size of your head, spiders"

The greatest was when 850 told me that he couldn't sleep last night cause of that picture. That was great.

Downgrade to dial-up, and you'll always be ready. ;) (Since you just see the first leg, you can press "Stop" right away.)

Wanna see it again?

Well I can't say I've ever seen one of those, but my aunts farm gets rats up to 3' in length in the winter time. You should see the traps we set up.

I was always sure that those pictures weren't real; because from what I've heard Camel Spiders don't get that big (unless that was a midget in the picture)

Hey Omero! Meh, these spider's freak me.

Der Alta, please check your PM's if you see this.

OMG! It's arachniMANIA!!!!! eccept for the silverfish.

Interesting pics. I am intrigued by some spiders, but there are those that just make me squirm. Still, I must say that the camel spiders in the first post don't look like other pictures I've seen of them (although it's understandable that they would be able to hunt Camels for a living if they were that big). I'm still skeptical though...
