have you never seen one of them license plates working, the plate is split up into a few horizontal bars with the number on one side and another image on another side of the bar. When the image changes the bars rotate round displaying the image from the other side of the bars

Shutter plate? It could also be that but if it was wouldnt the Shutter come from the top as one sheet of metal rather than a few ?

I don't feel so bad, because it was my first one, and I didn't do very well on the widebody kit. My skyline for the next comp is going to be a much better work of art, completely done in MS Paint.
