I am realizing that many people have probles with some of these races, so I would like everybody put the hardest and the easiest manufacturers series and his settings.

Mine are these:(Hardest to Easiest)

VW Bettle series
Peugeot 206 Series
Opel Speedster Series
Suzuki Concept Series

The rest of the series I have done it were pretty easy.

I hard one with a stock car is Citröen 2CV, I had to tuned it a bit, I kept braking in corners when It was a full gas corner.

Yeah the legend of the silver arrow was a bit hard for me since I insisted on using my Gullwing. I could barely beat the Kompressor, so I had to keep re-entering each race so that the SLR McLaren wouldn't be in there (it takes a lot of tries but eventually you get lucky).

The Clio on is killing me, I just can't get that car tuned to beat those things.

Oh I forgot that one too, I will try it today. How is it? You have to run against all these Race Cars with the Clio V6 I think, right?

The Merc series, I had to beat the McLaren SLR

With a extremely well-tuned merc SL55 AMG I still could not beat that SLR round the 'Ring... despite the measly 3 A-spec points on offer. WTF!?!? 3 pts and I get trounced - come on! what would i have to do for the 200 - drive an A-class against an SLR? that figures - cant beat the damn thing round the Ring at all. :irked:

Anyone got any good tips how to beat this monster AND get more than pittance for A-spec points?

Stock SL65 AMG.. You should get more A-Spec points as the car's heavy and power's similar to SLR. I wont the series easily, don't remember about A-Spec points though.

Ditto, I really struggled with this one due to lack of 'Ring experience. That SLR is not so quick early on, but seems to pick up pace through the race. I eventually cracked it by using the 190E Touring Car (giving me lots of downforce) and with power upgrades and sport soft tyres. Not many A-spec points, and a lot of money spent for little gain, but there was that nice CLK55 Race Car to show for my efforts.

I just na tuned my clio, no turbo lag, and other stuff like racing chip, 1st stage weight red and one easily. only 12pts per race though and i ended up winning a bright pink clio racer

Skyline is quite easy as you can use the Nismo 400R you win from Japanese 90's just needs some harder tyres for the Tsukuba race.

That's exactly what I did yesterday evening. It's a 10 laps race so I took it easy, passing 1 car each lap, and using the 5 last laps to consolidate my leading position.
Hard tires are a must, everyone knows that the 400R is not a tires saver.

stock SL 55AMG, but I suck in the ring :dunce:

No doubt!! Me too. I had to install stage 1/2 lightweight and soft sport tires and sport brakes. It was my first run at the ring and wasn't very familiar with the track. Now that I've run it a dozen times I can manage it quite well with stock cars.

VW Beetle Cup is easy. Just buy a Beetle Cup Car, put NA tuning level 2 into it, and you'll win by many secs. Dunno what's so difficult about that one.

Clio Cup? The same, dunno what's so difficult with that one. I bought a Clio V6 for it, and raced with that car. I heard that the Clio Cup was difficult and so, so I fully tuned it, but when I stood on the grid, only got 5 A-spec points or so. So, then I removed most tuning, and even then I won easily. If you use the Clio V6, you don't have to tune it that much to be able to win. I had 286 BHP I believe, those cup cars had slightly more BHP, believe they had 294 or so, and I won. The weird thing is, didn't win on Suzuka, because of a stupid mistake in the final chicane, after that, I tried it with a Clio Cup car. Couldn't win with that one. Wasn't tuned btw. Then I took my slightly tuned Clio V6 and won immediately.:)

Edit:
206 Cup:
Fully tune your 206 RC, and put Racing Medium tyres on it, and you should win quite easily.

Speedster Cup:
Take a normal Speedster, fully tune it, put Racing Medium Tyres on it, and you'll win quite easily too. I used a Turbo Speedster, but the normal should be better, dunno about that, but read that here.:)

I won the Beetle Cup with a stock Beetle Cup Car, just an oil change and soft tyres (which I doubt were even neccessary). All I did was qualify so I started in first. All the races were worth 83 points.

Opel Speedster races were easy with a tuned up Speedster Turbo, with soft tyres and a wing. Races were worth 137 points.

YuRiPa>> Did you use NA upgrades for the Speedster or the turbo upgrades? You seem to have a choice.

Guess I had the Turbo upgrades, because I used the Speedster Turbo, but I'm not sure. Will look at it when I play GT4 again. Will post it tomorrow. I got 200 pts per race with the Speedster Cup...:)

The only one I have done out of the 4 is the Suzuki Contest. It took me a while, but I just reloaded and reloaded untill a GSR/X4 (sp?) started at the back, because If one starts 2nd or 1st its near impossible to catch it within 2 laps.

I have tried the Opel cup and managed to get 2nd on Seattle, that was my first and only try so far so I'm yet to try again.

Havn't tried the Beetle cup yet, I just completed the Golf and Lupo cups so the Beetle one's next.

And the 206 cup is last on my list, I even posted a topic on it because Its so hard.

for the MAZDA NA roadster challenge :
used 6.2miles only (in PAL) Mazda MX-5 1800RS
with race brakes, short transmission, race flywheel, triple clutch,dgl1,carbon thingy and NO power increase

I won 4/6 races with 120-140 A-spec points BUT there's a problem in SStage11 and tokyo2046 I couldn't keep up whatever I tried in straights I'm completely lost behind :( had to boost it a LOT to finally win in those 2 races what a shame...

You shoulda done the Schwarz B - you can easily beat the SLR-M with the SONAX 190-E that you win. Just use the Audi Nulovari Quattro to finish it (if you are past 25%)

i found the Shelby series difficult, i've a a fully mod Cobra with over 600hp, and i still had trouble catching up to just the "stock" Cobra's. (funny how that works in GT4) but after afew trial and error races, i was able to tune the car just right and finally kick *** !

It doesn't have to be a stock Cobra - for instance - I did the 206 race today and I found I had to keep buying crap to even keep up with them and finally beat them. No way in HELL those were stock.

However, in the MG races the cars appeared to be stock as I won easily with only an oil change.

The point being, you never know how tuned the computer cars are.

Had the Turbo upgrades, NA tuning is not available for the Speedster Turbo. Noticed that I even hadn't fully tuned my Speedster Turbo.
