According to Mario Soler, it will be a 3-car update, one is the Captur and the other two are returning faces. (He also said both were race cars, but later on this info was debunked).

However, if the Xiaomi VGT is coming for the next update and it’s in fact a 3-car selection, then there’s no way two of them are returning cars.

  • Xiaomi Vision GT
  • Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato
  • Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO 2
  • Citroën 2CV Type A '54

No new track
I think the newer Temerario GT3 is likelier than the Huracan GT3 EVO 2, as far as Lamborghini goes.

At any rate, I'd say the Xiaomi VGT seems likeliest. I wouldn't rule out a third new GT3 car in a row here, either, though I think it may be too soon to see the GR GT3 in particular. Instead, I agree that the BMW M4 GT3 seems relatively likelier, as it's had some time to prove itself like at the N24. It very well could come alongside its road-going equivalent, just as we saw with the Ferrari 296 GT3.

Alternatively, as far as contemporary Gr.3 cars go that aren't necessarily part of GT3 go, I do think the Lexus LC500 GT300 '23 would be an excellent pick, as it could fill an identical niche as the Subaru BRZ GT300 as well as being a racing version of the LC500 that's already in-game.

We could also get a newer Gr.4 racer, too, likely via TCR like with the Hyundai Elantra N. I do think the Honda Civic TCR would be excellent in this regard, as its FF drivetrain would be notably different than the MR drivetrain of the NSX Gr.4.

Already posted this but this could be more appropriate here:

Quick thought/prediction
We could see a teaser the weekend of the 14 of march for a mid march update (3 cars) then on the 28 (abu dabi event) we could get the full scale Xiaomi Vision GT model on stage plus saying it would come in the next update.
I also expect an announcement from Hyundai there (maybe the ionic 6 N) to arrive along the Xiaomi and maybe 2 other car (either M4 + M4 GT3 or the GR GT + GR GT3) in the presumably April update teaser.
I think it is somewhat possible has the update 1.59 rolled out on the 15 of may. Middle of the month update are possible but less common…
What do you guys think?

I know that with the situation in Middle East it is in doubt that we will get the World Series in abu dabi but here is my prediction…

He also said it’s not the silhouette in the thumbnail, but very similar. Maybe the FD road car in the datamine: RX7 Type-R ‘91

Only other car in the datamine that seems like a race car, but it’s not, is the Caterham Seven SL R500 ‘12. That’s not a returning car though. Anyway, it’ll be interesting what the final two cars are.

Sounds like the next update could be a bit underwhelming. If it is the Captur, Xiaomi VGT and some random race car like the RX7 Amemiya Aspadrink......😐

When I think "similar to the RX-7 GT300, but not exactly that", I first think of the Garaiya GT300, which is also a returning 2000s GT300 car that is in the datamine (and the game's IP credits).

I really don't know how much stock to put in the Soler leak other than the Captur though, there's a lot about it that has been contradictory to itself.

I read you, but as was mentioned, “…the remaining race cars seems to have been plucked out of nowhere.”, by a member in the know.

I don't see how the Captur or Amemiya could be disappointing?

The Captur would be a classic GT addition, starting out as an ordinary lump that you can tune up to be a supercar killer, or even run in a league against rival crossovers like the 2008 and CX-30.

The Amemiya would be a much-needed classic GT300 addition, the first of its kind in the game, which would likely bring a shot of energy to the withering Gr.4 class, and open the doors for other GT300 icons like the Cusco Impreza or BP Kraft Trueno.

Every car in Gran Turismo is a canvas, an art piece you can expand upon to make your own masterpiece. It's a game that offers limitless potential, should you seek it out.

Can't wait to give it a go at Lake Louise as soon as I can, hopefully with an appropriate widebody kit !
