So, having been merrily snapping away for about two years now, and having now spent a reasonable amount of dosh on a camera, I thought.. what else do I need.....
... a GTPlanet photo thread obviously!
My old camera was a Canon EOS 20D, earlier this year I upgraded to an EOS 60D and have been trying to shoot using manual mode only since. I've currently got 4 lenses, Canon 100-300, Canon 28-105, Tamron 10-24, 50 (f1.8).
Comments and criticism welcome, but remember I'm a photographic noob, so don't get too technical! Also, I'm quite colour blind, and despite the majority of pics being at racing events, I have no media creds, so bear in mind I'm normally at max stretch on my zoom lens, and trying to focus through fences (and past Marshalls!).

To start of with a few shots from two events I visited this year, the WRC in Wales, and the WTCC at Donington. Not sure why I picked these, as I struggled to set the camera up for poor(ish) lighting conditions at both, and got very few decent pictures... photoshop to the rescue!

Bumped up the blacks a bit in photoshop because the mist had really stole all the contrast, but I quite like the pic, so I thought I'd give it a go.

Mini WRC, I liked the colours... simple

Old Cossie, I really like this pic, kinda moody.

I love Defenders! Slower than hell on the Rally, but cool nonetheless!

Best pic of the weekend as far as I'm concerned!

I liked the photo but the white balance and possibly the ISO was well off, hence the heavy contrast effect and cropping applied later.

Arty red brake caliper shot.. hmm.

Don't much like the photo, used my 10-24 to try and get some interesting perspective, but again, the image was flat as hell, with little contrast... so it needed some tweaking. Still don't like it, but I figured it might be of interest given the subject matter.

Best attempt at this shot, not great, but you can see what I was trying to acheive.

Thought she was really pretty, 'nuff said.

C'mon Franz!

Okay so that's it for today, I'll probably update this regularly as I sort through my thousands of photos.
