YES, I tried a search, nada.

Is there software to run a MAX Drive with a Macintosh without using and emulator such as VirtualPC? I'd like to join the 20th century and I don't want to run an emulator if I can possibly avoid it. Thanks.

I thought it already worked on the Mac. It's just a pen drive. It should be recognized as soon as it's plugged into a USB socket. The software that comes with it isn't really needed as it functions perfectly well without it.

So it's really just a pen drive? Does it have any particular software on it that the PS2 needs, or does it come with a CD/DVD disc that you put in the PS2?

Because I've got a few pen drives sitting around I can use.

I'd like to be able to post and save replays, garages, etc. but I've been limited by the Mac platform (it's rare, but it happens). Thanks.

I think you just use the disc that you put in the PS2 to transfer saves etc. and you can use any usb pen drive to store them.

It comes with a CD for the PS2 and a CD for the PC. The PC CD only contains the Max Drive software that you don't need to use. My PC just recognizes the Max Drive as a pen drive and enables you to transfer replays from the drive to your PC/Mac and back again. When you plug the Max Drive in the PS2, it needs the PS2 CD to run and it takes you to the Max Drive front end which enables you to transfer the replays from the drive to the memory card and vice versa. You can't save direct from GT4 to the drive. It has to go via a memory card.

A normal pen drive does not work for transferring replays unless you have the full AR Max package. I have heard that normal pen drives work with that, but if you don't have the AR Max then a normal pen drive will not work.
