I know this isn't something new but in a recent appearance on the Pelas Pistas podcast, Max Verstappen confirmed that he actually trains using Assetto Corsa. Not iRacing and not just Red Bull’s professional simulator. He said he and his group “mainly use Assetto Corsa” but with heavily modified mods made specifically for their needs. They work directly with modders to adjust physics, setups, and track data to get the realism they want.
So the rumors are true: Verstappen trains on custom-tuned Assetto Corsa.
