kinda dissapointed about the cap. I remember have a good 50 mill in my GT2 account. Good old red rock valley GT all stars race. 500k for a speed 12 every race :sly:

Kaz has NEVER played this game. It's utterly obvious that he has never sat down with a new PS3, a new copy of the game, and tried to go through the same thing that WE HAVE TO...

He gets the equivalent of a game save swap with someone that has done ALL the work for him, the very thing he tried to prevent with protected game saves.

I respectfully suggest that, at the first opportunity, Kaz-san puts himself through the hell that he has put us through. I then expect a COMPLETE game patch and an apology!

I look at the 20M cap as the only surefire way to get the penniless trophy. Yes, there are other ways that would require you to shop around and do oil changes/car washes over and over, but even then you might be stuck with an odd number of credits that you can't get rid of.

With that being said, a 40/60/100M cap would've been much better, that way you could buy multiple 20M cars at once.

In the grand scheme of things, this is extremely low on my "GT5 problems" list.

Remember GT5P? The F1 car was the cost of the Credit cap...

Correct, mentioned before, and completely irrelevent. There are a few things in GT5P that didn't make it into GT5. The Credit Cap = Most Expensive car should have been one of them.

I also reject the 20mill cap being there to make it easier for everyone to get the Penniless trophy. There are so many different things you can buy, especially thanks to the used car market. There is no way anyone should struggle getting the last two digits to be either 00 or 50 using the used car market, and then buying a car or some tuning parts till you hit 0.

I just bought 4 go-karts at 5k a pop at the very beginning, and then restarted a brand new game to play the way I want. Much easier than grinding 20m credits or modding mx-5's etc.

EDIT: For those complaining:

REALLY? The cap it 20,000,000, an amount that most people won't be getting for a while and it's more than the FM3 cap, and you're complaining about it? Really? Seriously? "I'm sorry sir, you can only have 20 million dollars," "That's it? But I wanted to buy Mars AND Pluto. Oh well."

Why even have a cap? What is the point? Someone should tell Bill Gates....hey, you reached the $$ cap of $20,000,000. Any farther $$ you make will just poof now, so you better spend it before making any more.

Doesn't the X1 cost 20,000,000? So once you save up enough credits to buy it in the color you want, you are sitting at zero. I assume you cannot upgrade anything on it and it will blow anything out of the water as is anyway, so you probably don't need anymore credits to mod it, but still.....why put in this limitation?

To make people like you cry.

Kaz putting a 20M cap on earnings is simply one more demonstration of how insulated he is from reality. There is so much in this game that is simply unrealistic. I refuse to believe that Kaz exists in a world where ANYONE would spend every last penny he had on ONE car and not have anything left over for contingencies (so you buy your 20M car, and the next hour, a car comes up in the Used dealership you have waited MONTHS for).

Kaz has NEVER played this game. I KNOW it, in my bones.

There better not be a limit to how many cars you can have in your garage. That would suck even worse than the credit limit.

Umm...

1. Backup main save with 20,000,000CR
2. Create sub account on PS3 and request it to be a friend
3. Using main account, buy the 20,000,000 car
4. Gift that car to your sub account
5. Restore your main game save so you have 20,000,000 back
6. Gift the 20,000,000 car back to your main account and there you go - a free car with all of your money still available.

There is a Trophy you win for having 1000 cars in your Garage so i would imagine you could have every car.

We still don't know what the prizes are for the last few endurance races, but we know the XJ13 is given away for one of them. My guess is the Mk IV and P4 will be the last prizes, and this would indicate that the 20,000,000 limit is quite intentional. This way you're left with a choice, you can battle it out through the races like you're supposed to and earn the car for free, or you can take the easy way out... but you have to make a sacrifice and empty your account.

I'm only at 4 mil after buying an FGT but I don't really need any new cars right now..will probably make it close to the cap then buy a rare car, get close to cap, buy a rare car..it will never end..

Thanks to the patch you can now gain 20 Mio. quite fast. I just got 7 Mio. in 2 days thanks to new events and lots of B-Specing. Racing myself, would be even quicker. I will try to get all expansive cars until the next patch which will reduce the rewards again :dunce:

I've made about 20 million in 3 days. My eyes are hurting from going round that Indy Track. :(

Let me get this straight.

You hate havign a cap, but people who find ways around the cap are too be booed as well?

Cant have one without the other bro

I can confirm it's still 20 million max after the patch, did reach it today (yes, got a bit of time on my hands) and didn't know there was a cap, just curious whether I obtained a hidden trophy for hitten the 20 million mark (didn't plan it, just thought after about 17 million, let's see what happens).
Not really bothered by it though, at least now I know to keep spending and stop saving, unless I want to buy something really expensive.
Now if you excuse me, I've got some spending to do. :D

I'm not for or against the cap. But to the people who are complaining about the cap... You do realize you are saving virtual money, right? There are no tracks to buy, no countrys or islands. Get to 20 mil, buy a car, or tune the ones you got. And if you use the argument that you do want to spend money on cars you dont want, then whats the point of saving virtual money?
